Our family had a wonderful time at the Hotel Maison Pierre Lafitte. The hotel offered an old time look and feel, and it was located very close to Canal Street and the French Quarter. The staff were all very nice and very willing to help. The second and third floors had balconies, and offered exterior furnishings, which allowed for outside coffee/beverage enjoyment while watching pedestrian, trolley, and other vehicular movement on Canal Street throughout the day. Our room offered a fairly large refrigerator, a microwave, a two-eyed electric cook top, a mini sink, a toaster, and a coffee pot. In addition, our overall room offered two private bedrooms and a decent sized bathroom (with a tub and shower head). Also some rooms (in our overall hotel room) had large (one-way view) tinted windows with interior drapes. In all, this hotel, and our room had a 1930's feel to it that was very tasteful and very comfortable. Lastly, we had to initially double-park the vehicle to unload our luggage (luggage carts were available) and we circled the hotel block to park our vehicle at the nearest parking garage (on the same street). In closing, everyone in our party had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and we would stay again at the Hotel Maison Pierre Lafitte. P.S. Some evenings can be a bit noisy, primarily due to loud music, car horns, etc. originating on Canal Street; however the hotel provided foam ear protection in our room.

DISAPPOINTING hotel! I’ve never been in such an AWFUL hotel in my life. When we arrived, towels and the sofa bed were not ready. Then…Photos speak by themselves! A big hole in the ceiling was the least thing. The following morning, we wanted to ask for a room change AS WE COULDN'T SLEEP because of the dust in it. No one in reception. We called more than 10 times. After being the whole morning trying to contact them by email, etc. they gave us a new bedroom. We had to wait one hour though, and not even an apology! The new bedroom was super noisy and the sofa bed was impossible for sleeping. TV not working neither. The reception area and the stairs can not be more dirty. Last day, they didn't make the room up. I called them but I got no answer. The only positive thing: 4’ away from bourbon street. Finally, they've charged more than 200 dollars extra and still waiting for the refund. I've called more than 6 times and sent several emails and no answer yet. INCREDIBLE! SECOND PART! When I finally could talk to the manager she literally said: "stop wasting everyone's time including yours. YOU ARE NOT GETTING a refund in any kind". So impolite! A TOTAL FRAUD!

This place here was absolutely amazing. There is not one thing bad that I could say. It is a total diamond in the rough. The hotel is a little dated but it gives it its New Orleans charm. The location is perfect. The loft room we prefect for the 6 of us. The room was very cozy and clean. We were greeted with true New Orleans hospitality from the front desk staff all the way to the housekeeping. They went out of their way to accommodate us and make our stay even better. I wish I had gotten their names. It was amazing to be able to walk right out of our room and overlook Canal Street. The hotel is in perfect location of walking distance to many restaurants and entertainment. If you are going to New Orleans for a night out on the the town and location and price is what you are looking for then this is the place. This will definitely be our new place to stay when we come back.

Please save your vacation and just stay elsewhere. Trust me, it is not worth the nightmare that is this hotel. Cidni the front desk employee was the only reason I originally booked there because she was so friendly and hospitable over the phone and answered all of my questions. The hotel seemed quaint, historic, and interesting/funky. I asked about noise levels b/c of canal street (and me being a very light sleeper) and she assured me everything was quiet and our room was in a good spot. I also verified the listing with her before booking, as we had to book through booking.com specifically for this trip. I told her booking.com says there is a 1 bedroom available to book and that is what I wanted. She responded saying she only had a studio for our full dates but she could try and get us in a 1 bedroom for some of the nights. Although this means I am paying a higher price and not getting what was advertised and having to switch rooms mid-stay, she was so kind and went out of her way to make the adjustments AND EVEN CALLED ME BACK TO VERIFY THERE WOULD BE NO ADDITONAL CHARGE (this is key for later in the story... so I went ahead and said thank you, was so appreciative, and excited. Upon arrival there was no mention of additional money owed and everything seemed to be OK, minus:||1. Very unclean facility (pieces of debris and trash were in same spots throughout our stay in communal areas, nuts and shells were in our sofa and on our floor, black debris on our bare feet throughout our stay and threats of not getting white towels dirty constantly weighing on our minds).||2. The noise was CRAZY! I don't mean during the day, during the day I don't care, ALL NIGHT people were drag racing their cars down canal, multiple times and at all hours of the night. Guess where our rooms were? Right on canal. We forced the a/c unit to have the fan on at all times to get more background noise and it helped.||We never mentioned these 2 things as we shrugged it off and tried to have a good vacation.||Finally, we received a call from Cidni's boss in the middle of a tour in the middle of our vacation saying we had a charge that was unpaid. They were trying to charge us for "upgrading" our room! We paid for a 1 bedroom for 5 nights, stayed in a 1 bedroom for only 2 and then downgraded yet they want to charge US?! I stopped by to inform Cidni and give her the benefit of the doubt. I asked her why her boss was calling us midday, why she was so direct and rude, and how shocked and confused I was. All while being as sweet as possible to her thinking she was on our side with all of this. She turns around and LIES to her boss and me and says "Yes, she does not have a good hospitality sort of manner and can be very direct. She comes from a business world not hospitality, I'll talk to her." Then she works in how there may be a charge and I look at her and say "you said no additional charge, we both heard it". I tell her please help us sort it out and we will come down Monday AM at check out. We come down at 9:20am (20 minutes after the hotel is supposed to have a STAFFED, PROFESSIONAL front desk attendant and no one is there. We wait, I call the main line (not only to discuss this balance, but also to store our bags while we have one last breakfast in NOLA), still no one is there so we do a self check out and leave the key as directed by signs (yes, we also lugged our bags through the city on our last morning b/c they were not there at the specified hours of operation - we were not the only couple waiting, either). We then get an angry email saying they are reporting us to booking. Instead of emailing me, calling or asking me to call them once my travel day is done, or any other reasonable solution. They report me to booking....

Stayed here while in town for wedding. I loved the hotel for its history and location, rooms were large and view was awesome. Staff was pleasant and accommodating, stored the wedding cake for me and discounted extra suite to accommodate my family during an unexpected arrival. So at first, great! I appreciate that, however, the room we had was huge and could have accommodated two teenage boys easily, not adults but kids, and was charged for the attaching suite. At first, watching initial reaction, we thought that they were going to just let the boys stay, no problem and was even asked "well is the room it big enough?" This went on for a couple of minutes so why not just let them stay if you have to think about it that long? Then owner voiced she could give us the attaching room. We understood that the amount that was given was a total for stay because it wasn't mentioned or clarified that it was per night and it was known how many days we needed so of course we assumed that total was for both nights and that was a great discount and helping us out but unfortunately, I get my bank statement and was charged $300.00 for two boys for two nights in a tiny room, one bed and bath. Then upon leaving, and I mean we literally was in car about to leave, was told that the housekeeper found stains on towels and we were being charged. I said "well can you please make sure it doesn't come out in wash before you charge me?" and the response "well, this is what you agreed to by signing forms upon checking in and we did accommodate you". No, I didn't agree to being charged for towels that weren't even washed yet besides, I do believe it stated $15/towel and I know without a doubt that at least 5 towels did not have stains on them because I am the one who gathered them all and put them in one spot in bathroom for easier housekeeping. I had a pending charge the same day so I know they weren't clean and I am being charged 80 DOLLARS for towels. If anything were on towels, it was filth from the dirty floors because we had to clean our feet after walking around on the floors causing our feet to became black, literally black, so we all had to wear shoes constantly, so there's that. I had made a cake at home for the event and the flowers were red, if it was the food coloring on the towel, first its not worth $80 and second I got some on my towel at home and was able to simply run cold water over it and it came out quickly so I was charged a ridiculous amount for cheap towel/towels. So for two nights I wound up paying $1,100! Not worth the accommodation and definitely not worth the place in its entirety. I'm not one to typically do reviews, and negative ones at that, but this is...

Booked her through RCI staying in a one bedroom loft. Previously booked a 2 bedroom way back in Covid times that was cancelled as flying from UK wasn’t allowed, so really wanted to stay here. ||Upon arrival at 10pm and getting into our room having been previously given codes for outside door (reception isn’t manned 24/7). We weren’t disappointed, it wasn’t up to the usual standard of accommodation we usually stay in! But my! it’s a quaint, ornate old building with lots of charm and character once you get inside. |We stayed in 201 with a door directly onto the wrap around balcony with direct view of Canal Street. Having flown in from Tampa we decided to pop over the road get some adult beverages and sit on the balcony watching the world go by. Streetcars, boy racers, emergency service vehicles with their sirens, disco party bus to name just a few. |We were provided with ear plugs which we found quite funny and thought it was for the air conditioning which was very efficient as our room was like a fridge when coming in from outside. Regulated this to suit a temperature suitable for us whilst keeping it within the recommended temps|Our bed was comfortable and we didn’t take much rocking when our heads hit the pillows. It wasn’t the air conditioning which that woke us up 😂 it was the sirens which were at there worst on Friday night. We didn’t go to bed till 3am on our first night so the sirens didn’t keep us awake for long. 2nd night onwards wasn’t as loud and by Sunday didn’t even notice the outside noises. |Toiletries are provided in the bathroom, along with coffee, cream & sugar. Extra towels, bedding, blankets, toiletries are provided and readily available just near the lift on the 2nd floor. Sofa in room was comfortable, dining table & chairs weren’t used only to hang our wet coats on when we came in. |Walgreens is local opposite end of block for all food supplies required for snacks, wine and beers required whilst we were there. |Loved our time in New Orleans and would defo without a shadow of a doubt stay here again. |Reception staff were lovely and full of local information if required. |Plenty of things to see and do to keep you busy in New Orleans, comfortable accommodation when you return weary from the exploring and...
