While the property is advertised as stylishly updated, it is run down & not well maintained. This property should really be 2.5 stars at best. Mostly everything in the room was damaged from the carpets to the walls and furniture. Stains in the carpet that also was coming up a frayed, curtains-stained, chips in the furniture, huge scuffs on the walls/doors, lamp didn’t work. Heck even the leather on the trashcan was ripped. Laminate white counter (how cheap) in the bathroom- stained and discolored badly. Towels were terrible tattered with ragged edges. These should have been discarded or used for cleaning. The only good thing was the bedding was clean, crisp and changed daily. No cotton balls or qtips. Makeup remover wipes were not replenished. No ice machines/- front desk gave me a bag of ice in a ziplock. Rooftop and lobby bar/restaurant closed. This property is discounted for a reason. I repeat this is NOT a four...

The room decor great. Beds.. fabulously comfy.. the view? To die for, especially for someone who's largest home city is Anchorage Ak. I gave the 3 star on room because my reservation said "deep soaking tub", which NONE of the rooms actually have. I reserved two rooms and it stated both would have the tubs, instead I had a shower, which is cool but not my thing. The room had no other issues besides no bath tub which was a big selling point therefore I can't give above 3 stars. The staff incredibly professional, polite and knowledgeable. The location? Perfect walk for all of the french quarter from rampart to Decatur and everything in between. We did come back to our room being left with the deadbolt turned to keep the door open. This property is VERY dated and RUNDOWN. While the staff was very friendly and doing their best, the property itself is a mess! Nothing and I repeat NOTHING in our room was nice... Missing lightbulbs, stained and holey linens, broken faucet, loose toilet seat, knocking shower pipes, inconsistent water pressure/temp, scratched furniture, super loud mini fridge. The phone was from a different room and did not work. All the lamp shades had water marks, as if they'd been sitting in water. Most disappointing was the mattress which felt lumpy, so it was super hard to get a good night's sleep! We made the best of a really bad hotel choice, so our trip wasn't ruined.
