Firstly, the food is decently good- this is why this place stays afloat. I ordered through Uber Eats and on the app, it said the restaurant would be delivering the order. Okay, fine. I get a strange phone call after placing my order asking for my phone number so the driver can reach me directly, and when I asked who this was, twice I got a muffled reply. OKAY...end up getting the order delivered through Doordash. Getting weirder here..
Turns out they missed delivering a caesar salad I ordered. Called Doordash. They said I would have to contact Uber Eats because thats where I originally placed the order. Shows on the Uber Eats app that the order is still being worked on even though its already been delivered. So I call the restaurant directly.
Someone answers, asks to put me on hold, and I immediately get hung up on. Call back, get hung up on AGAIN. Mind you, Im not being rude or speaking in an unreasonable or disrespectful tone. Finally get someone to take the time to greet me further than being hung up on, only to be placed on hold another two times. Same guy gets back online and lets me know I will have to go through Grubhub or Doordash to get a refund for my caesar salad even though I repeatedly told him that the order was delivered through Doordash and I ordered through Uber Eats. I proceeded to tell him that my original Uber Eats order is still showing delivery in progress on the app, so I cannot call customer service. He was then told by another employee/manager to click that it was ready. I then clicked order delivered so I could contact Uber Eats customer service to get my refund for this caesar salad.
Response by Uber Eats: you will need to contact the restaurant as they are the ones who delivered the order. After telling Uber Eats about my experience, they gave me a refund.
Synopsis: Im guessing you do this quite often The Italian Pie. Short change customers on items, and give the runaround on refund so it becomes the responsibilty of the conglomerate of delivery services you work with to produce the refund. And after reading Talon Darks review, I now know that my Doordash delivery driver did not receive my tip for delivering my food because you pocketed it yourself through your runaround game with these apps, saying you will deliver the food yourself. This is extremely angering to me because I deliver for Uber Eats myself- we work hard for that money. How dare you.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came here after the Taylor swift show past midnight. Myself an three others in two groups, it was busy. They told us it would be 20-30 minutes after both of us had ordered. Our friends who ordered before us got their food in about 30 minutes. We figured ok ours is next.. 25-20 minutes went by and my girl went and asked politely saying ā hey we still havenāt gotten our food yetā at this point the crowd had left. They had maybe 10 people in the store half already eating. She then went two more times over 25 minutes asking were our food was, it was a small pizza and a sandwich.. thatās it, no special instructions nothing, they kept lying and saying oh itās being cooked.. YOU CAN SEE IN THE KITCHEN. It wasnāt being cooked no one was in line for 20 minutes so finally I got involved and asked where is our food, and the girl just stared at me and said oh well itās not ready itās been crazy, but that crazy ended a half hour ago. Itās wild that all three of the girls ( both behind the counter and the older lady running The back) knew we hadnāt gotten our food and still didnāt have some one make it. Four times asking ( politely) over the course of a half an hour after waiting for 45 minutes. Dont give these people Business. Iāve worked In The food industry and this boils down to crappy service. Itās a pizza⦠the doughs already proofed. Some one tells you aye Iāve been here over an hour and Iāve watched people walk in in the past 10 minutes and get their food and I still havenāt and you dont immediately go make their stuff is bad service, itās bad management.. I brought people from out of town here an you people embarrassed me..
Update - it took you six months to reply⦠you offered zero solutions, your response almost took as long as my pizza, I own 80+ stores in 19 states and still make sure to stay on top of my business. Do better so people donāt get shoved off...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible service. I order my food via Uber Eats and upon completion of my ordered I was prompted that the store would be executing the delivery of the food. I called the store to follow up and they informed me that Uber would be delivering the food. I informed them of what the uber eats app relayed to me and was directed to the manager. She first said the same thing I was initially told. When I explained to her that the app stated the store would be taking care of the order she then stated that the food was on its way. After 30 minutes I checked back with the store and the young woman who answered said she would call the driver and check on the order and then call me back. She called back from a different number than the one listed as the business line and said that I should call uber because she does not know where the driver is and they don't deliver food. I referred again to the fact that the app has only given me a message stating that the store would deliver the food and I would not be able to track a driver. The young lady then put me on hold and left me on hold without returning. I disconnected and attempted to call the store twice and there was no answer. Then called the other number and the manager answered aggitated saying that there was nothing she could do. I then proceeded to ask her for the contact information of the driver that they had on my ticket and she said she did not have any info and that the younglady was new. I recited to her what the young lady said about having the drivers' contact info and it became a yelling match where she disconnected the call. The service here is horrible. Apparently their ordering system on the app is faulty and leaves customers misinformed and left with bad attitude and incompetence to make up for it. I will never forget this experience and the behavior exhibited was unbecoming...
