Let's start with the false advertising they parade on their website. The rooms depicted online are akin to a mirage in a desert—clean, pristine, and far from the grimy reality. Oh, they strategically avoid photographing the true horrors awaiting guests, like the hallways that haven't been updated since the 80's. There was some substance that looked like mud all over the room's floor. There is no business center despite the fact that their website claims as much. I travelled here for project work with the understanding that I could print at the business center. Time was wasted. The elevator that only decides to work when it feels like it and the delightful surprise of finding ROACHES cozying up in your room. The icing on the cake? The staff's exquisite talent in inconvenience. When my mother, who had knee surgery, had to navigate five flights of stairs due to the out-of-service elevators, it felt like a slap in the face. The room they proposed as an alternative was conveniently higher up, adding insult to injury. Security? A mere illusion. On the first night, the door bolt didn't align with the striker wall plate, and the security latch had very clearly been broken off and was previously half-heartedly glued back on. Not exactly reassuring, especially when you're trying to sleep with one eye open. And let's not forget their construction chaos. Amidst their brilliant idea of installing thermostats, they managed to sprinkle drywall debris all over my suitcase and clothes without bothering to move a thing. Bravo for the immaculate service! Entertainment? Not here. Several TV channels were on an extended vacation, refusing to work, much like the staff's dedication to solving problems. And those beds—let's not even go there. They seemed to have witnessed too many sleepless nights and had the wear and tear to prove it. I found a hair in the breakfast sausage. I notified the staff, and they picked it out rather than replacing the entire sausage bin. To top it off, the promised compensation of 10,000 points for enduring this circus act never made its way to my account. Surprise, surprise! What's even more astounding? I noticed several of these issues on shortly after I check-in. I promptly notified the front desk that I wanted to be relocated to another hotel. I also contacted corporate. Hilton corporate's "helpful" suggestion was to check out and pay for another hotel while they sit back and watch the horror show unfold. Trying to speak to a manager became a daily pilgrimage, but alas, they graced the property with their presence for mere moments each day. In short, this Hilton should come with a warning label. If you have any regard for your sanity, cleanliness, or basic comfort, do yourself a favor and steer clear. And Hilton corporate? They might as well hang a "Good luck, you're on your own" sign. Disappointed would be an understatement.

I enjoyed my stay here for 6 days. The rooms are smaller along with the double beds which are smaller double beds. But the staff were super friendly and always seem to have a smile. The door man at night would welcome us back frequently. They had a small store in lobby that made getting a pop, water or snack convenient. Breakfast was usual rotation of things and could use a change. Rooms didn’t seem to me to outdated to me. Shower valve did need a rebuild but you know hard to please a service plumber like myself on vacation when it comes to plumbing, I’m a critic . Cable tv with warm heat plenty of towels for my family. Elevators at times got busy but you know it’s NYC and things get crowded. I had 2 issues with maintenance and they were fixed right away. Had a packaged delivered and they made sure I had received it. Hotels located near a lot. Subway right outside half a block. Macys 2 blocks, gift shop 2.5 blocks in either direction. It’s all there. Times Square 10 minute walk. Never felt unsafe and we would stay out till 12-1 A.M walking back. I would for sure stay again here and enjoyed my stay. Staff made us feel at home. House keeper cleaned our room well everyday. That always felt good coming back to a clean room. Thanks. I had a rental car and played the parking game in NYC for the first time. So to park for 24 hours it’s 62 bucks with no in and out. So if you’re there for 2 hrs it’s 52 bucks. If your there any longer it’s the full 62 and it don’t matter if you leave after hour 4 of being in the garage and when you come back you pay again. So remember NO IN AND OUT PRIVILEGES. Me being from KC never heard of it. Street parking it’s metered after 6 p.m till midnight M-F it will cost 30 some bucks for 4 hrs. After Midnight you’re good until 8 A.M M-F. Remember that is very important. After 8 A.m it’s NO PARKING UNTIL 10 AND ITS COMMERCIAL PARKING ONLY FROM 10 A.M UNTIL 4p.m THEN NO PARKING FROM 4 p.m TILL 6 P.M. THEN ITS METERED FROM 6 P.M UNTIL 12 A.M. On Saturday your good from 6A.M until midnight with meter parking for anyone. Sundays are open game. So M-F I would get up early and move my car to the garage parking down the street to the West by 7 A.M and get the early bird special. That allows you to park car for $29 bucks if you get car in from 4 A.M until 8A.M and take your car out by 7 P.M. they’re giving tickets at 8A.M sharp. I got a ticket for $115 bucks at 8:15 A.M. I seen one car get booted and towed. It’s no joke. Unreal stuff coming from the Midwest parkings not an issue with our 2 million people in KC. Parkings a premium with 8 million cramped in this town. Funny stuff! Thought that would be useful for someone driving in town. A car did make a difference for us we seen a lot and went wherever we wanted...

Rooms are a good size for New York. You're in NY don't expect a typical size Hampton Inn that you'd get in a town such as Branson, MO... You're visiting NYC not SDC. Breakfast is decent. There's a hot plate option (during our stay they offered cheese omelet, French bread sticks, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, roasted potatoes, andouille sausage, buttermilk biscuit, bacon). Bread options (blueberry muffin, slice white or wheat bread, plain or cinnamon bagel), hot oatmeal (toppings dried cranberry, brown sugar, slivered almonds). Cold cereal (lucky charms, raisin brain), yogurt, boiled eggs still in shell, waffle machines to make a sizeable waffle (toppings syrup, chocolate chips, whip cream).... My complaint falls with the weekday front desk crew. Thanksgiving day, the Macy's parade just ended, the eating area is packed with people leaving AND non-guests... The larger eating area, a small portion of it was used to store luggage. To note, the small eating area open to the people only sat 20 people. The larger area had enough seats for 54 people comfortable. The staff chose to lock this area to store 14 rolling bags and five backpacks that sat on top of bags or a table. During this time, we were relocated out of our room by housekeeping. She told us it would take about 30 minutes. When we went downstairs, there was nowhere for us to be. I went to the front to request if we could sit in the area that was vacant (on the otherside, opposite of the luggage) and the woman said no. I further asked where we were to wait... Mind you, it's pouring rain outside. She didn't have an answer. So I requested if they had extra chairs we could setup in the open area next to the front desk, she further went to say no. I then pointed out the sign behind her and the front desk that read, "100% satisfaction guaranteed"... She replied, "you still need to work with me", and I said we are, but we are guests and half the people sitting in the small eating area are not, they are getting out of the rain. She said there was nothing she could do. *So what I hear you saying is, luggage is more important to have a seating area than it is for your guests (picture attached of the small area for luggage)... Five minutes later, Luis, the man who tends to breakfast in the morning and mops the lobby floors (kind man), unlocked the back room for us to sit and play a card game while we waited for our room to be cleaned. TO NOTE, the following morning (Friday) they placed the luggage to the right of the front desk (a few bags less than the day before of...
