From the moment we stepped into Parlour in the heart of Manhattan, we knew we were in for a treat. This gem in New York City’s bustling culinary scene is a haven for those who appreciate fine dining and exceptional service.
The ambiance of Parlour is both elegant and inviting, striking a perfect balance that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. Every detail, from the tastefully curated decor to the soft, ambient lighting, creates an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and warm.
But what truly sets Parlour apart is the impeccable service, exemplified by our server, Henry. Henry’s hospitality was nothing short of extraordinary. He greeted us with a genuine smile and an eagerness to make our evening special. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, offering personalized recommendations that were spot on. Henry’s attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and professional etiquette elevated our dining experience to a new level.

Read moreFirst impression here are amazing. Aesthetically it’s a dream come true! Glorious decor, and ambience, probably the nicest visual vibe of ANY cocktail bar I’ve ever been to! An easy 5 stars for decor and layout!! Just lovely.
The cocktails and service left a bit to be desired, which broke my heart when there is so much potential here! I ordered a rum cocktail off the menu, it was made with a decent bit of flair which I respect. Yet the taste was good but not amazing. It was very slow then since I was there just after opening and there were maybe 6 or 8 people total there, so I asked the bartender if he had other aged rum cocktails they did. Rather than ask what I liked and craft something for me, he said no that’s the only one on the menu. I mentioned another option (Hemingway daiquiri) and he did say if I told him what was in it he could mix it, but I didn’t have the energy to google it for him so I just ordered another off the menu. A bar of this caliber needs bartenders who can make a custom drink based on a quick chat and preferences, as I’ve experienced many other places! But even though it was dead slow I did not feel like he had any interest in doing so, nor did he have drinks he was excited to showcase for me. This location has SO much potential to be a premiere spot, but the cocktail game and conversation of the bartender didn’t meet what I’ve seen elsewhere, where bartenders are themselves excited about making new drinks and curious to experiment with me.
If you like whiskey, then have a list to die for, so long as you are fine to pay for it! Crazy good whiskey list, wow!
I didn’t order food.
I’d love to chat with the owners about how to take the experience from good to great! Again, there is incredible potential here but my experience was a fairly pricey 4...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying Beef Wellington for the first time and it was an absolutely delightful experience. This dish is a true classic and it did not disappoint.
The Beef Wellington at The Parlour Room was cooked to perfection. The filet mignon was incredibly tender and juicy, and the puff pastry was perfectly flaky and buttery.
The dish was served with a side duck fat potatoes, shaved brussels sprouts which added a nice balance to the richness of the beef. The portions were generous and definitely worth the price. Not to mention they carved it tableside.
Overall, the experience of eating Beef Wellington was memorable and truly satisfying. The combination of flavors and textures was simply delicious, and I would highly recommend this dish to anyone looking for a hearty, comforting meal that still feels elegant and refined. If you're a meat lover, do not miss out on the opportunity to try Beef Wellington on Sundays at The Parlour Room.
The service was excellent. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and made some great recommendations. The dishes arrived promptly and we never felt rushed throughout the meal.
The atmosphere was stylish and modern, with a warm, cozy feel. The lighting was just right, not too bright or too dim, and the music added to the overall ambiance without being too loud or distracting.
