Rooms 2/5 - extremely small. So small that if two people want to walk within the room, they cant walk side-by-side. After storing your bags, there will be no space left to walk. Room cleaning will not happen daily and that declaration will be taken in writing from you on piece of paper during check-in process. Only cleaning will be provided if staying more than 3 days and if requested.
location 1/5- though 10 mins walk to subway station, the walk itself is scary at night. Unsafe to walk. I guess for this reason they provide complimentary shuttle service from 5pm to 1 am. Yes you heard it right. They have a mini Van and a driver to give you this service. They wrap and market it as if its complimentary but I feel its because of unsafe road and location. Dont walk in dark.
Breakfast 2/5- it appears that the spread is good because they have tried to cover taste of every customer. They have juices, cereals, waffle, bagels, muffins, yoghurt, coffee/tea and sometimes egg omlets. Reason for lower ratings is because one needs to eat a lot of above to feel like a satisfying breakfast. They are more like snacks. Recommend hotel management to give lese but wholesome breakfast. Also hotel needs a bigger space. People are literally walking on top of each other during breakfast hours. Not because its over crowded, but because you have only 10 tables and 110 rooms.
Services- 2/5- There are no complimentary water bottles in the room and the only place to fill your waterbottles is in their basement level where they serve breakfast. Only other place you can fill water is from the tap in bathroom. Even if its drinkable water, i am sure no one wants to fill their bottles there. So expect to make multiple visits to refill water bottles from any floor to all the way to basement. The water jug is often empty and you might need to request to refill them.
Staff- 4/5. Hotel staff is awesome. Especially the one in cafe. They go all out to make sure the counter is full and coffee is available. They do smile and even talk. Front desk needs little extra customer service skills like smiles and greetings.
Overall 2/5. A hotel offering free wifi, free shuttle service from subway to hotel, free coffee and tea 24/7, but cannot give free drinking water. Isn't that strange? Trust me its a big deal and the inconvenience is real. Hotel Management needs to learn that water is necessity, not a shuttle. Learn to offer atleast 2 bottles of water each day. It wont make your profits thinner. Infact it might only help you as less people will use your elevator to travel to basement for water refills.
My verdict- Not worth the money. Try to look for better hotels in terms of services. You might see a lot of 5 star ratings for this property but thats not the true representation. I too got deceived by reviews and ended up here. Now that i stayed 4 nights, I could...
Read morewe booked two rooms for 5 nights, due to our flight we only arrived in the early morning to the property. previously we discussed with them this several times and they everytime said that it is ok, they will hold the room and there is nothing to worry. we flew all night and arrive to this place (which is btw in a terrible location dispite of the hotel’s answer, you definitely want to avoid this area) and they just said that our entire booking was cancelled by them without any previous information or anything else! it was a total surprise even that in the booking app the booking eas also confirmed! i bet that they did not want to sell the rooms at the price we booked months ago! they also said that we only booked it for 3 nights instead of 5 even when i showed them the confirmation about the 5 nights. when we asked that could they provide the rooms for the original price they said they only can for 3 nights and we have to pay a way more for the other 2 night! when we decides not to stay at this place after this horrible experience they wanted to charge our card for the first night!!! it was unbelievable! they never said sorry and never showed the bathroom for us. the staff was not helpful and still cant believe how could it happened.
not a great place to deal with, shady area next to a factory and a car repair place so definitely recommend to choose...
Read moreDisclaimer: The hotel was very new so they are working out some issues still.
Upon check in, we were given our room key and found the room to be dirty still. We went to get another room and again were given a dirty room. Again went to the front desk and asked to speak with a manager. I was told he was on a conference call and unable to speak to me. The staff then went to check the next room before giving me a key and "upgraded" our room to an ADA room. However, this room had a sloping floor to the door that flooded the bathroom every time we showered.
The next day I did speak to the manager who offered an apology and offered Wyndham Rewards points for our troubles but he never followed through with crediting me those.
After this issue resolved, the stay ended up being better. The hotel is brand new so everything was very nice and fresh. The breakfast was a hot breakfast with eggs, hash browns, and a rotating breakfast meat. As well as a waffle maker, bagels, toast and other typical breakfast items. The location is a good spot- a short 10 minute walk to the subway and quick ride into the city. There isn't much around the hotel yet, but the area is quickly growing. Overall, it shows potential but with the terrible check in experience and lack of follow through by the manager, I would not...
