ABSOLUTELY AVOID – THIS IS NOT A REAL HOTEL AND POSES SERIOUS RISKS My experience with this listing was not just disappointing, but genuinely alarming and dangerous. I cannot stress enough: DO NOT RENT HERE. When I arrived at the provided address, I found it was a coffee shop, not a hotel. The "owner" then attempted an "interview" process, demanding a security payment, my photo ID, and a copy of my credit card – a highly unusual and suspicious request for a hotel check-in. At no point in their listing was it disclosed that check-in would occur off-site at a coffee shop, nor did it mention these invasive data collection practices. The situation escalated dramatically when the owner stated he would escort me and my two daughters to our "room," which he then clarified would be shared with four other men. This is an utterly unacceptable and terrifying scenario, especially when traveling with children. I immediately declined this arrangement and requested a full refund, which was refused. I reported this predatory listing to Hotels.com, providing all the details of this fraudulent operation. Despite the clear danger and deceit, they took no action. As a result, my two young daughters and I were left stranded on the streets of downtown New York City, with no accommodation, forced to find last-minute, expensive alternatives. I have extensive proof of this entire ordeal, including messages where they promised a refund and receipts for the emergency hotel I had to book. I am willing to share this evidence with anyone considering booking here. According to staff at the reputable Four Seasons Hotel, located right next to the coffee shop where this scam operates, this fraudulent activity is a known recurring issue. They expressed concern for the many individuals who fall victim to these "crooks" who clearly prey on vulnerable people, particularly women and families. This is not a legitimate accommodation and appears to be a scam designed to exploit unsuspecting travelers. For your safety and financial security,...
Read moreI was looking for a hotel for my family with young kids. On check-in day, while driving in NYC traffic, I was aggressively encouraged to check in early via text then phone call, when I found out I will be sharing the bathroom and kitchen with people other than my family. The host promised a refund if I canceled, so I canceled and booked a different hotel at the last minute. The host ghosted me, and never refunded or responded after a 2-week follow-up. The Expedia listing was updated from "communal living" to "shared bathroom" and "shared kitchen," so apparently my feedback was helpful. Coincidentally, the hostel rating went from a 7/10, to a 10/10, so all the negative reviews were also removed. A negative review no longer available on Expedia was a specifically a person complaining about deposit not being refunded. For Google Maps reviews, is it really plausible the oldest review is 2 months old, and there are already 56 reviews?! And the only other negative review is also an established Google Local Guide reviewer, when compared to all the...
Read moreTucked along a quiet stretch just steps from the ocean, this serviced suite redefines what it means to blend convenience with elegance. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality, complimentary champagne, and floor-to-ceiling views of the Atlantic. The suite was a symphony of polished marble, crisp linens, and soft ambient lighting. The fully equipped kitchen and in-room laundry were discreet luxuries, perfect for longer stays. I particularly loved the rooftop pool—sun-drenched by day, glowing under city lights by night. Whether you’re in town for work or leisure, this place delivers understated opulence with...
