I’ve been coming to TOKA Salon for years! I look forward to every appointment because the service is amazing, and I know I will leave feeling and looking wonderful! The space is bright, clean and modern. Everyone at TOKA is professional, friendly and a delight!
I LOVE Yvette! I trust Yvette. I’ve followed Yvette to different locations for over thirty years because not only is she talented and knowledgeable about hair styles and hair textures, but she is also able to style classic as well as modern and edgy. Yvette communicates, and even more importantly, she listens. Through the years, I know I can show up and sit in her chair and she will work her magic. When I want to try something new, Yvette takes the time to consult, consider and advise on my ultimate ideal look. I always come away looking trendy and elegant at the same time. Check out her social media at yvettegonzalez202!

Read moreThe legacy of the late John Sahag's extra ordinary precise dry haircut passed years ago to the manager and creative director of his salon, Eiji. Eiji went on to own his own salons on Madison Avenue filled with beautiful Japanese art and design. About 3 years ago, Eiji and his staff went a half mile downtown and merged with the John Sahag salon. But now Eiji and his team of stylists and colorists and the best Japanese straightening artist in NYC have moved into Toka salon. The colorists at Eiji are geniuses. They work closely with your stylist to make sure your hair color is ideal for your skin tone and works with the texture of your hair. The stylists are brilliant, creating a cut that is perfect for your face, perfect for your lifestyle and you will be in awe as you watch them cut and shape literally each strand. Eiji travels with several members of his team to Japan several times a year to teach. He does runway shows here in the US for every major Japanese fashion designer and celebrities galore are in and out. Toka owns salons in Washington DC where he is the go-to stylist. Having Eiji and team within Toka adds a new element of NYC and Madison Ave style to Toka and puts the Eiji and dry cut aficiandos in a warm and welcoming space. Oh. Dry cuts take a little longer time -wise than you may be used to. It's spending time wisely and...
