Bourne's Ocean Acres Ogunquit — Hotel in Ogunquit

Not really impressed, quite disappointed!! Booked this room for my sister's birthday weekend - Labor Day. Checked in at roughly 3:00pm. Gentleman at front desk not very personable and then woman fnished checking me in as he was going on break!?! Not unfriendly, but not friendly. I have stayed at Seafarer, Seaview, and Juniper Hill. All very welcoming and friendly. This place.....blah!!!! Just got home. Left early this morning at 7:20am. Office was not yet opened so I left the keys at the door. It was clean at least and that's important, however, no nice touches at all. No chairs outside the door of the room. Just a sagging wooden park bench. What!?! Wow!! They advertise both of their pools as heated. Ummmm....no! Pools so small and pool hours are supposed to be 10:00am to 10:00pm. Outside pool at 8:00am, open gate, no lights at all!! Wow!! No little tables, just a few plastic chairs. Sign posted; no food and beverages!! What!?! I'm on vacation!! Are you kidding me!! So unwelcoming!! Inside pool: overfilled, slightly warm, closed at 8:00pm!?! Door locked !! Yet, tried again at 9:30pm, door unlocked!! So strange. Again, just a few plastic chairs. No little tables. Very sparse!! Nothing on the walls. So unwelcoming!! I will not come here again though the room was clean and pretty large. 1 picture on the wall in the room. Cheap, cheap soap. Strange.......I will...

I had a wonderful 2 night stay at Bourne's Ocean Acres in Ogunquit. Check in was easy and the check in person was friendly and helpful. I had a double queen room and it was very spacious, the a/c unit worked well, room and bathroom was super clean, mini fridge and microwave added to flexibility for breakfast and beverages, tv and shower worked well, and the bed was super comfortable. There were families around me on vacation who were enjoying the pool and the conveniently close Footbridge Beach and I liked that vibe/ambiance. I usually stay closer into the center of town/main beach/Marginal Way where I can walk everywhere but it's crowded this time of year. I really enjoyed Footbridge Beach and fewer crowds - it was a nice 10 minute walk through a quiet and pretty residential area to get there. I got takeout at Beachfire Grill and had a picnic on the beach which was delicious, easy, relaxing, not crowded, and way better than wandering through the in-town crowds and waiting an hour for seating. This is a terrific option if you don't want/need to be in the center of it all (and all the crowds!) and want some beautiful beach time with a few good...

We travel to Ogunquit annually for a mini vacation. This was without doubt the worst room we've ever stayed in. Bed terribly uncomfortable. Room service was non-existent. Carpet was not vacuumed for 3 days. Last day came back to our room around 2:30 pm. Trash buckets emptied and dirty towels taken away. Room not cleaned nor was the bed made! My wife went to front desk asking for new towels, when she told "Andy" about the room, she received a blank stare. On check out when I told him about all of the issues we had, he was dismissive and told me they had been in business for 60 years. I asked him what did that have to do with us receiving poor service? The room was large, the only positive. A plumbing groan/rattle went off every 15 minutes. Needed to have the AC fan on high to drown out the noise. Mold in the corner of the bathroom floor. Microwave was unplugged and had to be put on the floor in another part of the room. Overall, terrible stay at this location where proper customer service was non-existent.
