We arrived on time for check in and there was no one there. The front desk was abandoned and bare without any presence of staff or management. There was a canned statement advising us to take our keys off the counter and check in ourselves. The manager appears moments later and tells us that we're all set for our week long stay. After we had booked our stay we received a legal driven notice about the limits of occupancy and how the room would be serviced. There is no service; like our bare check in the rooms are not cleaned -ever. You fill out a daily request sheet and drop it off at the front desk; subsequently they drop off your towels in your room and don't even take our soiled towels. Since we were staying for a week and in the sun and sand all day we asked to have our sheets changed mid week. The manager arrived after asking twice and delivered the sheets (minus pillow cases) only. She then directed us to change our own sheets. There is no service, these owners obviously are not in the hospitality business and their efforts were minimal and unacceptable. Their legal release post making the reservations had so many caveats that you would have to hire your own attorney to figure everything out. Below are some pictures of their old and abandoned ( and dirty)larger ice machine which was replaced with a smaller one which was often empty. The bathroom was another major problem: the bathtub had an old mat that was obviously removed and the glue remained. The toilet seat was ill fitted and the door didn't close completely(often embarrassing). Even worse everyday motel guests had to remove their own trash and put it in a large overfilled trash can at the entrance to the front office. On more than one occasion parking was limited if you came back after 9pm. There's something else goin on here. Obviously the property has been sold to some corporation that operates on restricting labor costs and is more concerned with their bottom line than your vacation experience. There are many other competing hotels and motels in the area. Be smart and stay at one of them-not this one. It probably should be cited by the state Department of Health. Forget about the bed covers; we immediately pulled them off and used our own blankets. There was no hospitality-none zilch nada at all, we were told that we should have read their disclosures before booking. It felt more like a hostel instead of a motel. Caveat emptor

EVEN IF YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR A BUDGET HOTEL - AVOID. & I am not one to ever leave a review like this, as I try to be very understanding. But, absolutely terrible service and cleanliness. The district manager & manager do not care at all. The shower was full of dirt and grime. The pockets of the room and corners were filthy. Sand everywhere. Even after having a sign out for things we needed, we never were replenished. The room was never cleaned with new bedding. Even after checking back video footage of us apparently, where we went in multiple times to ask for the items we needed/fresh clean - the managers have decided that neglect of service was acceptable and no need for any sort of refund. There is another budget hotel we have stayed in just 30 seconds down the road, that is much better for your money and peace. In the photo if you lol up close, you can see how caked on the grime is in the drain and the rest of the tub and room looked the same.

This property is very poorly managed, not clean, and potentially dangerous. They do not take ownership of problems and provide no solutions whatsoever.

I booked through Expedia, and the listing was extremely deceptive. Check-in was chaotic, and when we finally got to our room, we immediately noticed several alarming issues. Because of the hour, we went to dinner, hoping the room would air out. (Maine a lot of things close by 8pm so you gotta go quick) I have a severe allergic reaction to fabric softener, and this room was absolutely drenched in it — the worst I have ever experienced. The response: "Nothing I can do," "No refunds" — on repeat. No solutions offered at all. I even asked if she could wash sheets for me or provide new ones — again, no.

I called Expedia, and when they called the property, the manager hung up on them! Whoever put this woman in charge as a district manager made a huge mistake. She has zero training in hospitality and no ability to handle guest issues.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of the issues:

The entire property is saturated with heavy fabric softener — sheets, towels, curtains, pillows, mattress covers — everything.

2.They offer no solutions to problems. Their only responses: "Nothing we can do" and "No refunds."

3,The tubs are filthy, with brown, dirty non-slip appliqués that are never cleaned.

4.Cheap metal rods and luggage racks are rusted, posing a safety risk, especially for children.

5.Decorative pillows on the beds are not washed at all, visibly stained with bodily fluids. Don't use a UV light unless you want to see semen everywhere.

6.No amenities of any kind.

7.No staff available in the evenings.

8.They refuse to replace or clean bedding or towels, regardless of the request.

9.The district manager lacks basic hospitality training and takes no ownership of problems.

10.No parking. Local people park here, so you may not have a spot when you return.

11.The pool is disgusting and unmaintained.

12.Personal observation: men walking around in thongs — definitely not a family-friendly environment.

13,Very few plugs in the room; they use an extension cord for the fridge (a fire hazard and a code violation).

14.Windows are filthy, and paint is peeling — a concern for children (potential lead paint).

15.Outdoor chairs are filthy and never cleaned.

16.Bed throws are never washed — remove them immediately!

17.Staff lack any local knowledge; all questions are deflected to a small bulletin board.

18.Not friendly or welcoming. The atmosphere was immediately hostile. I believe it was because we are white.

19.Overpriced for what it is — especially considering the condition and lack of amenities.

Everything is extremely dated — old furniture from the 1950s, broken microwaves, and a refrigerator patched with duct tape.

In summary: This is a dangerous, filthy, and mismanaged property. The staff are unhelpful, dismissive, and provide no solutions. Save yourself the frustration, health risks, and wasted money — stay anywhere else.
