You know, I absolutely love Smoothie King and their quality. I’ve been a customer for years now but in all this time I have never been so disappointed that I had write a review like this. I went to the location on 144th Street and Us1 on a morning before work (I’ve gone many times already to this location) and there’s always 1 guy that is working there who is tall, tan and dark brown hair slightly curly. I walked in this morning and he was making 2 smoothies for the 2 nice ladies infront of me. It took him probably 10 minutes to finish which I’ve never witnessed at any other location, and I kept thinking, “oh I guess he’ll take my order now since it’s been awhile” but he kept looking at me without saying anything (he did not greet me as I came in either) it was as if I wasn’t even there. My presence was not acknowledged. At other locations the workers are always eager to welcome you and take your order the second they get a chance. The smoothies were finally ready and as he was checking the ladies out, he tells me in a sarcastic way “I’m just waiting on you” to which I responded “I know what I want already” and he says okay but takes another few minutes to take my order..... 1 smoothie medium. The sign for medium said $5.90 in the store but turns out to be $7 ? I also have the app and asked him to scan it so I could earn points, scanned it in an annoyed manner when I asked and he didn’t even apply it because I earned no points at all, the numbers stayed the same. He gave me dirty looks the whole time when I was in a great mood for a delicious smoothie and work. It took him two seconds to make my smoothie and it was not that good either. At other locations it seems that the drinks are prepared with more attention & care. I wish all locations had the...
Read moreI am not one who complains and writes negative reviews, but I had a bad experience here. I walked in, and there was a young man who seemed busy and maybe new on the job, and I have no complaints about him. But there was also a young woman standing next to him. The young woman never acknowledged me. She just stared downwards. Wouldn't even look up to say "hi" or "Can I take your order" Just nothing. I had to almost lean in to make her realize I was even standing there. After they took my order, another young man behind the counter who was doing all the blending asks me "is that your receipt?" I was holding it in my hand, and I was the only one in the store, so I said "Yes, I think so, they just handed it to me?". Then he frustratingly asks "IS IT YOUR ORDER??" I check the receipt and he seems to get ticked off at me for being confused as to why he's asking me if the receipt I have is mine. I'm assuming he was trying to make sure the order was taken correctly. I say "yes...it is" and he shakes his head again in frustration. I just paid $10 for a smoothie and I feel like I'm being treated like trash.
I can't say I'm surprised because there are many places, including the McDonalds at the end of the plaza, where the employees have a tendency to have zero customer service abilities.
I don't want anyone to get fired. I just think someone should try and point out to these employees that when a customer walks in the store, you should probably say hi to them. I know working retail can be tough and many customers are difficult to deal with. But at least ACT like you want to help them, and don't get shake your head in frustration when the customer doesn't understand what you're asking them. A much-needed lesson in people skills is needed at...
Read moreWhere to start. I was the first customer in the store yesterday - Saturday January 21, 2023 around 2pm. and waited at the correct area to order. Since the 2 teenagers were in the back, leaving the front unattended, they did not know and started to take the order of a different customer. I mentioned I had been waiting and was suppose to be first, since being first at the order area was not obvious enough. I then ordered and requested the substitution of the regular milk to be with oak milk. The order was inputted, I was charged and half way through making the smoothie, they realized the were out of the requested milk and asked if I wanted another. Due to my dietary restrictions, I could not have the suggested almond milk so I said I could not have the smoothie and requested a refund. I was told they could not refund me and To come the next day, Sunday to speak with the owner. No contact information was provided nor the hours the next day. The concern was clearly not taken seriously since the only solution was to come the next day and wait all day??? I would not have purchased the smoothie if I was told ahead of time they were out of the product I was ordering. But instead, WAS TOLD HALFWAY THROUGH MAKING THE ORDER, AFTER CHARGING ME, WHEN IT WAS CLEARLY STARED BEFORE. The lack of professionalism, concern, and hospitality displayed by the 2 little girls working was disappointing for working in the service industry. Unfortunately, had to go out of the way to the smoothie king up the street from this one, who coincidentally has way better star ratings.. and I had...
