I’m extremely disappointed in this place, and I will never recommend it to anyone.
The customer service is horrible especially if you want to pay using a gift card! I was given a digital gift card with Delices de France clearly stated on the gift card. I made two separate attempts to use it, and the reaction/response from the staff is why I’ll never recommend this place.
The first time I went there and presented my gift card, the entire staff was confused as to how to process it in their POS system. It took some time, and multiple staff members (who were visibly frustrated), but eventually they got it to work. After they gave me my receipt, no one attended to me and after about 10 minutes I had to ask about my order because they forgot.
Today, I went back and attempted to use the remaining balance on the gift card. Again, the entire staff was unaware of how to process a gift card. This time, the treatment I received was completely rude and unacceptable! The cashier didn’t know how to process the gift card, and when she asked others for help, they also didn’t know how to do it. When she asked the manager, he said he didn’t know they sold gift cards and that he’s never processed one. He said I need to use another method of payment. After I explained how it was processed previously, he became annoyed with me and called another manager. The other manager tried to talk him through the steps. When he couldn’t figure it out, he became upset, raised his voice at me, and said that he can’t figure it out and that I would have to go. He told me twice that I need to leave because they can’t process the card. I have never been spoken to like that before, and for him to cause a scene in front of everyone else in the bakery was awful. My mouth literally dropped as he was raising his voice at me. He must’ve noticed my reaction and then said he’ll let me have my food for free and I can come back LATER and pay for it. I declined, pulled out my wallet and paid for it right there. He gave me a discount of a few bucks, apologized, and repeated that he didn’t know they sold gift cards. At that point, I didn’t care and I just wanted to leave.
How can you sell a gift card and not be prepared to process it? To avoid situations like this they should ask the customer to step off to the side and explain in a calm manner what the difficulties are. Pulling a customer off to the side gives the cashiers a chance to take other customers, while the manager works on resolving the issue. Lastly, all staff should be trained on how to process...
Read moreVisited for lunch, the food was great and I recommend them for their food. However, their customer service needs to improve, details of my experience: I placed an order with a lady, she takes the order, asks my name and tells me that they will call me when the order is ready. I stand at a counter by the window away from the ordering register. A few minutes go by, my back is to the service counter as I am looking to the outside. I hear a voice, saying Sir, sir and growing louder. So I looked at the service counter a small light haired lady says, Sir you can sit and wait outside and will bring it to you. I go outside find a table/chair and sit. The original lady who took my order, stands at the door and calls my name. She has a bag with my order. NO NAPKINS, THE DRINK WHICH INPAID FOR IS ALSO MISSING. Suggestion: Get your customer handling process together by elevating your service quality match your food quality! A. Confirm if the order is to stay or go B. If you offer to deliver the food to a table, do it, do it completely and correctly. Napkin,...
Read moreI seek for excellent croissants everywhere I go. And I like to do side-by-side comparisons from different bakeries of the same goods.
This is a review for the savory (Turkey and Cheese) croissant compared to that of Madruga (Ham and Cheese) croissant. Both are excellent (5 stars) but different.
Here at French bakery, the croissant is beautifully layered, and buttered. The cheese melts perfectly (even better than Madruga) into the dough itself. The special touch they put on their croissant is the layer of sesame seeds that provide it more nutty flavors as well a crunch to it. (Madruga's crunch is more from the cheese). I wish the turkey was not rolled purely in the center but more flattened to even out the flavors with each bite. However, I admit, that's me being nitpicky.
Because I am picky, Madruga and this bakery are the only two I would recommend in Miami (I have been disappointed by Zak the Baker, but I may need to give it...
