(After proofreading my post, I felt it necessary to fix several redundant areas. My edited version can be found below. Furthermore, I do intend to respond directly to Harrahs. I will adjust my review accordingly and fairly, if warranted. Thank you.)
For our anniversary, I was pleasantly surprised with a two-night getaway at Harrah's. The casino was aesthetically pleasing, and the restaurant choices were excellent. I'll post separate reviews specifically for the restaurants, as I believe they deserve their own evaluations.
However, despite understanding the inherent risks of gambling, my experience with the table games, particularly the 3-card poker, was beyond disappointing. The odds seemed unusually unfavorable, and the dealer was clearly inexperienced. This was evident not only because she openly disclosed her inexperience after I had to inquire... but also because of her numerous mistakes! It was a busy weekend evening, coinciding with Mother's Day, and it was frustrating that they couldn’t find a more experienced dealer.
Four of us noticed she paid out incorrectly multiple times. She also removed our hands prematurely on two occasions and then returned the wrong cards after we corrected her. This eroded my trust in the dealer, and I felt uneasy about the handling of our bets. The pit boss was largely absent until she had to intervene to correct a significant payout error where the dealer forgot to pay on our play bets, only paying on the pair plus and ante. By then, it seemed pointless to review the history or check the cameras, which would have ruined the evening further.
Service was another issue. I hardly saw any cocktail waitresses, and when I finally did, she was slow and ended up taking my half-full drink without asking, claiming I said I didn’t like it, which was not true. She later apologized and explained she couldn’t leave more than one drink on the table at a time, but her initial approach was unnecessarily rude. Her story was conveniently altered to rebuttle and cover every hiccup she made so blatantly. It was insulting, to say the least.
After all this, we decided to turn in for the night. Unfortunately, the room was not up to standard. The shower floor had shampoo globs and dirty footprints, and there was no proper shower curtain, just a half slab that didn’t prevent water from flooding the floor. We didn’t use it. The sink was inadequately cleaned, there was no hand soap, and the amenities were sparse—just a couple of hand towels and a tiny lotion.
Moreover, I had a strange feeling about the room after the issues regarding cleanliness. I decided to check for hidden surveillance, being a creature driven by intuition. While I’m still investigating, my husband, an HVAC expert, noted that the thermostat seemed unusual and could potentially record. I tested the theory, and I'll post pictures to support evidence of my suspicion, to which I must investigate further, before stating any claim as being a fact. I admittedly am far from tech savvy, and you should not rely on my limited knowledge regarding this incident. Let's just say it did not reflect well. We covered the thermostat, needless to say.
Overall, our experience was marred by several issues, and I hope Harrah's will address these serious concerns appropriately and efficiently in order to restore and retain any faith that scarcely remains. This merit is owed to their restaurant establishments solely at this point in time.
Thank you for following my honest reviews! Please like my post and follow me for more to come and updates on...
Read more*UPDATE * 6/17/25 It’s been almost two months since I visited and reached out to the hotel. I immediately emailed as instructed by the public “response” to this Google review.
But to no surprise….
……Crickets!!!!! No one ever contacted me! This is very disheartening, as I was hoping to have an open conversation. Your consumers deserve better!! If there were an option for ZERO STARS, I’d definitely update to reflect as such.
You all have sealed the deal with me! NEVER EVER will I stay at another Harrah’s! ……………………………………………………………………
I stayed at Harrah’s Las Vegas years ago and absolutely loved it. The hotel was beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. So naturally, I was excited to return this weekend to celebrate my friends birthday, expecting the same experience. OMG—I was so wrong. If I had read the recent reviews more carefully, I NEVER would have booked here.
My flight arrived at 10 AM, and I headed to the hotel hoping to check in early. I stood in a long line, expecting to speak with a live person, only to be directed to a kiosk when I got to the front. Like really? If I wanted a kiosk, I would have gone to one from the beginning. That said, the kiosk check-in was smooth, and I even paid to upgrade to a room on the Valley side.
But from the moment I entered the room, I knew something was off. It felt stuffy, but I thought turning on the fan might help. Then I started noticing the filth. Thick dust coated every surface—from the TV to the furniture. There were orange splatters on the headboard, makeup stains (or worse?) on the bedding, and literal Cheetos under the TV. The mini bar was empty except for dusty coffee pods, an “intimacy box,” and more dust. The furniture was streaked with dried white substances—I won’t even guess what it was.
The bathroom wasn’t any better. The shower had debris and black/gray stains. Under the sink? A used towel and what looked like a black sock or shirt. I didn’t dare touch anything.
I picked up the dirty phone (yes, even that was filthy) and called guest services. The young woman who answered offered to send someone to clean it. I was like, NO—hell no! I didn’t pay this much money to sleep in filth. I asked for a different room. Again, she offered cleaning. I insisted on speaking with a manager. She then told me I’d need to go down to the front desk. I did.
Thankfully, the young lady at the desk was very kind and apologetic. She informed me she’d speak with her manager and waived the upgrade fee. But honestly, if I wasn’t so exhausted, and if Hilton Grand Vacations or Mandalay Bay (where I really wanted to stay) weren’t completely sold out, I would have left immediately.
This whole experience was such a letdown. I was genuinely looking forward to this trip. I even booked two shows in the hotel and chose Harrah’s because of its proximity to the Sphere—I thought it would be the perfect one-stop shop. But this was just gross and unacceptable.
Even the front desk area was dusty. What a bad impression!
I will NEVER stay here again. And believe me, I have photos and videos. Someone in upper management needs to see what I saw. Harrah’s used to be a favorite. Now? It’s just sad.

Read moreUnderwhelming all around. If you're willing to pay the premium prices that Harrah's charges, find a location that takes pride in what they offer. I hate to write reviews when frustrated but it gets old when places charge prices that they have no business charging for what they're actually offering. It's simple, take pride in what you do and provide the service that you claim to offer.
Rooms are OK but a bit dingy in terms of finishes and bathrooms.
A/C has a constant buzz to it as long as it's running. No water bottles in room. (I understand you would be charging $7 for it if it were here, but at least provide it, even if for a cost!! Why do I have to "search" for convenience?).
Bathroom outlet had a metal prong broken off in it preventing it from being usable. Charging outlets by the bed were all super loose preventing my phone from charging consistently. End tables were dusty and all the chrome finishes had water stains or finger prints.
It's extremely difficult not to start nit picking when it's just one basic thing after another.
Half of the food options are closed half of the time.. and for the ones open, quality of ingredients were disappointing at the couple of food court places we actually got to try.
On our first night here, our group ate at Ramsay's Kitchen with a group of 9. It was a business dinner so noone was knocking back drinks or anything crazy. When you're paying $100+ per person, I think it's fair to expect top tier service.
Please, provide me with a variety of recommendations. Give me a suggestion for pairing a drink with my meal. Explain that sides are family style and make a recommend one what you'd suggest, as well as how many based on party size. Keep water glasses filled and offer refills on other beverages BEFORE they sit empty for 5-10 mins.
Although our waitress was perfectly pleasant, it was a service experience I would expect from a casual dining restaurant. And although the food was plated beautifully.. I'm fairly certain its safe to say that "Hell's Kitchen Ramsey" would have sent back my risotto. Rice was a bit undercooked and certainly underseasoned.
Second night here I ordered room service as I was far too tired after a 12 hr conference day to go back downstairs. Now, if I'm going to bite the bullet and pay over $40 to have 1 order of wings delivered, I expect the person delivering to at least be semi pleasant.. again.. service and training here, very poor. And yes, delivery for room service was $12.99 and I tipped $4 on the card prior to delivery. Maybe he was frustrated because he fealt it wasn't enough? Maybe it was a coincidence.. but if staff was trained properly, that interaction would have been immensely different.
I could honestly list numerous other issues but I will stop here and simply say, don't waste your money. Avoid the disappointment.
Harrah's- Do better. Not for me, because I certainly have no desire to be back. But for...
