I had a horrible experience here. The food wasn't bad, but the portions were small. I was taking my boyfriend out for a nice dinner on our vacation. When the waiter brought my alcoholic drink over to me, he spilled the drink. The drink poured ALL over me, and the glass shattered. It did ruin my dress and my shoes were soaked. I had to pick up pieces of the glass with my hands because he didn't completely clean it up. I do understand that mistakes happen. I called later to speak to a manager, because it was an embarrassment and mentioned all he did was comp my drink/dessert. The manager said it wasn't right that there wasn't a manager that walked over to my table. Without me asking, he wanted to refund the whole bill. Clearly it was kept a secret. He said I needed to email him so it was in writing what happened, which I did. He got the general manager (Benoit Giaj) involved who ignored half of my emails, declined calls, and didn't apologize. He finally called me back. When he did, he called me to say he saw the footage. He actually called me a "liar" and said my movement made the drink spill, and that it was my fault. I can assure you I didn't even touch the drink or table. I was shocked that he spoke to me this way. Benoit laughed and said I wouldn't be getting any money back. He constantly interrupted me on the phone when I tried to explain what happened, he continued to call me a liar, then said I mentioned I had a white dress on (which is irrelevant and was nowhere mentioned by me) and said because I lied about that, nothing would be done. He said he didn't care if I wrote a bad review, because he's the highest position in the company. Benoit hung up on me after getting very aggressive over the phone. I don't care about the compensation , but I have NEVER experienced someone so rude in management. I will not be back, and don't recommend coming...
Read moreOn a very random trip to the Forum Shops at Carsars we asked a nice man at the information desk to point the way to good Italian. He gave us 2 names and pointed down a hall. The first was Carmines, which did not have room for us and the 2nd was RPM.
After a short wait, we find a small table squeezed between 2 other pairs of diners. My first little bit of unease. I'm not fond of squeezing in anywhere, but given the last minute plans and no reservations, I was only a little perturbed at the waiters Butt which found itself held aloft by my table as he tried to serve our neighbor.
A fairly friendly server attended us to us. He was good, albeit delayed at times, but it's a pass given all the labor shortages.
First up were the meatballs. I feel like everyone has lost their collective minds pricing meat these days, but what do I know. We were evenly split on these. My now spoiled foodie son had reached the high bar for meat, but I thought these were great and savory in a well balanced sauce.
Next I had the lobster ravioli and he had the ummm spicy (ish) pasta dish.
If I had to rate the little piece of extra lobster that lay naked in the middle of my plate - oof. However, my next fork with the lobster fully dressed as a complete ravioli, fantastic.
My son with the "spicy" pasta had to add chili flakes to wake up his dish. Luckily I grabbed a taste, pre seasoning, and I thought it was excellent. Good spice gets me burping and this did the trick.
I really found the sauces on all 3 dishes to be the perfect complement, light and classically italian tasting with just enough coverage.
We debated the stars on this one and frankly I feel like while not perfect, this restaurant offered enough for me to be excited to come back.
RPM is well worth the visit. I would absolutely make a reservation next time and request one of the comfy...
Read moreI really wanted to give RPM a 5 but the service needs some work first. I’ve been wanting to go since the Chicago one opened and couldn’t wait to get to the Vegas location! I had originally had a large party planned and things changed and I had to switch to a small group. After I paid the deposit though, I never heard from anyone until I canceled the group dining reservation.
When we arrived at the restaurant, our friend got there first and was treated very rudely by the host telling her she didn’t have time for her at the moment and needed to wait, with a hand up. When we got there a few minutes late due to an accident on the strip, we were told we were late for our reservation and would need to wait for a table. After waiting over 30 minutes, we checked in with the host again and was told we could take a high-top table in the bar as nothing was available in the dining room. We said that would work and took that option. Meanwhile we watched a table for four sit empty in the dining room for entire meal. However, the server we had for dinner was great. The table though was situated strangely and we received food from both sides of the table as we were between two walkways.
The food was delicious!! We ordered ten drinks, four apps, four entrees and a dessert and with tip our total was under $500.
All the apps were amazing, but best rated from truffle garlic bread, zucchini fritti, steak tartare and lobster caprese.
For entrees we got the carbonara, lobster ravioli, black truffle gnudi and pappardelle bolognese. The gnudi was a melt in your mouth flavor bomb. The bolognese had such rich flavor and the short rib was cooked well. The lobster ravioli was full of lobster flavor and was rich. The carbonara was my lease favorite as the flavor was lacking.
For dessert we had to get the torta meringata and it didn’t disappoint!
I will definitely...
