Budget Inn — Hotel in Phoenix

Well I can definitely say that oug of all the hotels I've stayed including suites this was the only place that actually had a housekeeper come in our room and do her job with cleaning taking out the trash from trash cans and fresh clean towels and new travel size basic soap bars and shampoo and conditioner and was professional about her job title. Very pleased by her service I did walk in our room while she was cleaning our room I thanked her alot as I was in and out of room. Also the front desk lady she was pretty nice and was very helpful and offered to solve an issue with our booking dates and corrected the problem with our reservation dates. we even got a refund back and were able to stay that same night. The room smelt clean even the next morning the room still smelled clean. I have 2 little kids and with them eating and leaving crumbs on the floor not once did I see any roaches. What do people expect when you book or stay a night at budget inn I think the name is pretty self explanatory. Everything worked fine for my family during our stay. The TV was fuzzy to watch but me n kids all have our own phone so TV isn't too entertaining to us anyways the parking lot can use attention and this is one place that does serve breakfast but all of it is individually wrapped so it was convenient during the Covid 19. Overall i am pleased with our stay. It might not be top notch or everything with a new look to it. But seriously it's hotel they rent out their rooms every night. What do you expect maids service and some of the problems you all write on here for some reason arent being brought up to front desk or the correct person to correct those problems. The other guests seemed ok they didn't bother us. Didn't complain about my kids when they were being loud just playing and laughing loudly in our room. It was very laid back like it has its policy and private rules and it's not hard to follow and respect . I wish I would have asked the housekeeper her name to leave her a review and a good word for her at front desk. Which I still will do. Ty budget...

Always read reviews and take bad reviews into consideration. I don’t care what the good reviews say. Wish I had seen the review posted about drug dealers and prostitutes before checking in. Seems the hotel has 3 ½ stars because an unidentified user keeps giving this hotel a 4 and 5 star rating, which is by far from a 4 star hotel, closer to a 1 ½ star. The good reviews were probably posted by staff or residents that live there. Yes…they have residents here that might outweigh the number of guest. I don’t recommend staying here especially with kids; it will be an uncomfortable stay. Unless u grew up in a rough neighborhood, DO NOT STAY HERE! The front desk was very helpful, polite and nice and I can understand why, they try to make u feel as comfortable as possible. Wifi didn't work in my room but worked in my sisters. Seems only certain rooms get wifi. Pool is not as shown and Jacuzzi does NOT get hot, not even warm! No smoke detectors in our rooms. Key cards didn’t work, got locked out every time we left. Both my family and my sister's family stayed 2 nights and we dreaded the stay but made the best of it, especially for the kids. Beds have 2 sheets and a thin, very thin blanket that doesn’t seem like it gets washed. TV only got like 5 channels which were not good. Dirty nasty stains on the carpet and chair. My sister got sheets with stains. When checking in, you’re asked to check your room to see if you like it. It looks nice and neat when you open the door and take a quick look, especially after a long 6 hr drive, but when you actually get in the room and relax, you notice everything. They should give you a check list! My sister unplugged her charger; the outlet sparked and shocked her. All the power in the room went out. Will NEVER stay here or at any BUDGET INN ever again. First off, the cleanliness. The room smelt like pee. There were stains all over the floor and the bed spread. Mold growing in part of the corner of the bathroom. There were bugs crawling on the sink in the bathroom. The next day found some bugs crawling on the wall in the bedroom. The furniture was either beat up or broken. The Staff: Have never seen a staff as bad as this one. We had to ask for the WIFi password 3 different times, and they still could not give us the right one. We asked why the pool was locked. Their answer was because it just had been concreted. It was obvious it had not been redone in who knows how long. It was chipped, stained and not new or redone what so ever in who knows how long. Even if the pool was open we would not have even put one toe in the water with how it looked. We asked for a manager to talk to and they did not have a manager to talk to. We had a reservation and paid for two nights. We stayed the first night and tried getting a refund the fallowing morning at 7:00 am trying to get our money back for the second night we still had not stayed. They did not and we left. There was no way we were going to go through staying another night in that disgusting place. The pictures on line looks nothing like the real thing. I took many pictures and videos of the bugs in there of what it is actually like and looks like. The only reason I give this hotel a 1 star is because that is the only option of "I hated it."
