I had a to go order made online and when I got there I asked four different staff members about it and had five "help". I was 12 minutes late picking it up. There were bags sitting on the counter. I thought they were mine. One took a look at the bags after I gave them my name and said it wasnt it and said would check in back and never came back. The other two before her said theyd check and never got back to me. I spent a bitter hour and a half waiting for someone to come back. The last girl I spoke to finally looked at the bags again and said they were mine and I clearly saw my name. I was missing my drinks. She went and got them but was takinf a while, then another girl asked if I needed help I said I needed my drinks. I told them they were all large and somehow they messed that up and brought a small orange juice and all rest large. This was a fairly big order with five drinks. When I was driving one of the drinks didnt have the lid on all the way so spilled all over my passenger seat.
By the time I finally got home I was very very frustrated in point of tears because my car was a mess, our food was cold, and had a messed up order. My husband called in to explain the lack of professionalism and order I experienced. Spoke with manager on duty, explained to her that we didnt want compensation just wanted to make clear of my frustrating experience and the staff should be trained better on how to handle to go orders while busy. The manager on duty apologized and said she'd have a meeting with the staff and even said she'd refund our meal even though we said we didn't want anything.
We have sit in the same store before and the staff was friendly, mostly attentive, and the food good but this to go order experience made me feel like never coming to that store again.
By the way, if you say youre gonna do something do it, dont just say it to appease us. $61.20 (the price of my order, I still have the e-reciept) was taken out on 2/25/19 from my card and no sign of a refund. We didnt expect or demand one when we called in however if you say youre gonna do something you should do it. If you don't, it makes them unreliable and liars.
Thank you for reading ihop company if you did. Please train the staff better especially on how to handle things if...
Read moreTable of 4 came in after us, large order, very noisy, early am like 3. They ordered prior to us, no problem we were taking our time reviewing menu options.
Next, placed our order. Server appeared to know the menu selections fairly well, was able to easily respond clearly to any questions we may have had. Very much appreciated the knowledge of our server.
While waiting at our order to be prepared two other 4 person groups entered, waited 8 min to be seated, orders taken, and wait for their orders to be prepared and brought out to them. We still waited for hours, 20 min past.
Hmmm, what's going on....
The first large group had their very large order in 10min, even took the server as well as her manager to bring it out to these folks.
Third and fourth group have begun to receive their respective orders.
Now my companion is quite miffed over the situation, irritated even. Let's go they spouted out to me. I'm like why, it's probably coming out now. Not the point, was response I received. Why have we waited 30 min for two very basic orders of 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, 2 toast, 1 english muffin grilled, sausage, bacon, hollandaise sauce?
So stood up, took our time walking to door, exited bldg, entered car, idled for a couple minutes.... Nothing from anyone that worked at restaurant.
Hmmm, have to say I'm a bit miffed myself now.
Not my first thought at all, however, I'm mixed race but appear more caucasian, my friend is black. Was this a race based issue, I can not state with 100% certainty that it is, but I likewise I can not state that it is not.
This would be the 2nd time late night, very much similar experience.
I am certain that 30 minutes is way too long to wait for what we ordered, the first ones in restaurant, and only the 2nd group in restaurant at this point. Why group 3, and 4 serviced faster...
I will leave it to others that read this review and ask that you observe for atypical behavior or treatment by staff to customers. Post your own experiences, especially if you are there late night, or anytime no or few other customers are present. Post...
Read moreWe came to this Ihop store for my girlfriend’s birthday. Because it was her birthday breakfast tradition. Even though we were planning to eat breakfast for two and tip properly. before I walked in to the Ihop. My girlfriend asked them about the special for a customer’s birthday. That they advertised on the newsletter they sent to her e-mail. When we walked in, the manager started mocking her, by telling one of her servers at the cashiers counter “Don't worry i'm not going to sit her in your section”. They assumed we were looking for a free meal. When we sat, no one wanted to serve us. They didn’t even ask to get us drinks. They were all on the phone texting. The tables weren’t even clean. the servers were on the phone the whole time. So we decided to leave. As we were leaving I saw a sign on the cashier’s counter stating that if a customer has a complaint they can e-mail this e-mail address. I wrote a complaint to the location headquarters. They asked for my phone number in the e-mail. The manager called me, she didn’t even identify herself, I had to remind her that she called me not me calling her. She was denying the allegations, trying to imply that I was at fault for making a complaint, and implying that we were looking for a free meal. However, I did remind her, that there are cameras, we can always look at the video. Also, that we weren’t looking for a free meal. We don’t want a free meal from them after the way we were treat it. The only reason we came is because of the advertisement my girlfrind received. Which ruined her mood on her 21st birthday. I plan on drafting a formal complaint to the better business bureau, the consumer protection agency, and 1800 complaint hotline, for their descrimination, and prejudice. The only reason we went there was because of that advertisement. However, their customer service...
