Mountain View Condos — Hotel in Pigeon Forge

We rented UNIT number 2102.

If you want a clean condo, this one's not for you. Our Mom is 83 and her health is failing. We wanted one last "Girl's Trip" with Mom. When we arrived at the condo, it looked good. We noticed the glass doors were dirty and the woodwork needed washing, but thought it would be ok. However, we had a 2 and 3 year old with us, who doesn't like wearing shoes. After just a little while, the bottoms of their feet were so dirty! They also had left the dryer full of sheets and towels from the last guest. We didn't want to change condos at this point, so we cleaned it ourselves. It took 4 buckets of mop water to get the floors clean enough for us to stay. I did reach out to property management at this point with photos of proof of how nasty it was and all that was offered to me was a later checkout on Saturday if no one had rented that night by then.

Later that day, we had all settled in for the evening. Mom had gone to bed. A ROACH came crawling across the end table where we were sitting. That was the end for us.

It took a couple hours for my sister to get somebody to say we could get a refund and for us to find a motel for the night. Actually , it was Airbnb that went ahead and gave my money back because the host never did respond. By this time it was 10 30 PM. It was too much for Mom. We were on the verge of a medical emergency at this point. We ended up having to cancel the trip and take Mom home.

Will never use this company again. We booked a particular room because it had a Jacuzzi tub. We stayed 3 nights, didn't use it the 1st night. The 2nd night we filled it out only to realize they don't provide a big enough hot water tank to fill out up completely. The 3rd and final night we went to use it around 1030/11 and it started humming and the jets would go off.. Then on... Then off.. The water was well above the Jets so that wasn't an issue. Since it was so late and our son was sleeping in the living room, we didn't call maintenance out.. And we were leaving by 8am the next day. I emailed the very next day about it and heard nothing back.. Emailed again... 4 times.. Nothing back. Finally called yesterday and left a voicemail and had to call back again today and spoke to Michelle (apparently she's the top notch person there) and she completely refused to even try to help us and refund any partial money. I have video proof of the tub not working and she said because April is over she can't do anything about it. & that bc I didn't call maintenance at 1030/11 at night (while my kid is sleeping on the couch) she won't do anything about it. I would never ever use this company again. If I could give 0 stars I would. The door wasn't even sealed. It let all kinds of light in and gaps big enough so any kind of bug...

The room itself was ok. It was clean for the most part and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The negatives for the condo would be that the air couldn’t be turned down below 68 degrees. Also, the fan in the bedroom was remote only and there was no remote for it. When you turned the switch on, the light came on and the fan on high. We froze getting ready. At night, we like to sleep with a fan on, but not on high. Also, there wasn’t a way to have the fan on and not the light.

The complex was not to our liking. The pools and hot tub were dirty our entire stay. They advertised specific amenities and that’s one reason we picked this place. They did have a basketball goal, but no basketballs. We had to go buy one. The volleyball net was almost dragging the ground and again, no volleyball. The cornhole boards were there, but no bags to throw. Horse shoe was advertised, but no stobs or horseshoes. I asked a lady about this and she said that they all had disappeared. The suggested bringing fishing poles. We never saw a place to fish. If you don’t have the things to use the amenities, take them off your website, please. Our kids were disappointed. It definitely needs an upgrade!

Three times during our stay, the fire alarm goes off, one being at 4 am in the morning.
