I went to Southern Draw over this past weekend. It has been my third time coming here for a tattoo while vacationing from the Cincinnati area. My first experience was so great that a trust was built and I know the work I get done will be worthy. I haven't met Rhonda who owns the place but I would like to. Each visit I have had a different artist do my tattoo and I have scoped all of their portfolios to admire their work. Let me say that this place offers nothing but quality artists that will not disappoint. Rhonda you run a very professional and skilled business built on experience and talent. I thank you. This passion for Southern Draw comes from my most recent experience over the past weekend especially. I had a tattoo that has been the a problem for years since the first day I got it. I was so disappointed and tried to go somewhere else about a year later to fix it but to no better a piece of art to be proud of. That's right. A twice done double paid tattoo that was embarrassing and displeasing. I mean tell me you can't do it don't just try to get paid. It's my body and I have to live with it. I walked in to Southern Draw on Saturday determined to get this covered and have something to show off that was worthy. I met Will and showed him the tattoo and told him a glimpse of what I wanted. Now Will told me he was not the guy for it but that JD was and would be in later and could look at it. Thank you Will for being real and respectful enough to say you need someone else. I had Will go ahead and give my fiancé and I a tattoo anyway. He did an incredible job and we are both very excited. It was her first tattoo and I'm glad it was not like my first for her. JD came in and looked at my cover up situation. He was very pleasant, upbeat, professional, and honest. I watched as his experienced creative mind took off. He was confident that he could make something beautiful. I can't see how to upload a photo here but I wish I could share it with you. JD created something free hand to go right over, it covered completely, you can not see a trace of the previous, and it is the most amazing work of art by a truly skilled and passionate artist. Certainly it is my most intricate and attractive piece but it is greater than so much I have seen on others and even in magazines. Take notice Miami Ink! The detail, color, and personalized touches from such an invisioning mind blew me away. Down to tiny little dots, cracks, blends, and shades. It is awesome and what's more amazing, it's over a bad piece of work. Thank you JD for the masterpiece you created free hand with such brilliance while remaining true to a simple idea that I mentioned. I expected something to cover, I expected something better than I started with, I did not expect something this jaw dropping and perfect. As a final statement to my bragging rant. It was worth the very fair price I paid. I may not have paid enough for such greatness. JD is worth every penny and I tried to tip him well to show my appreciation and his worth. I was not nieve of the expense and very satisfied that he was fair. Once you've had a bad tattoo and spent money three times to fix it, you appreciate paying for unmatched quality. As I've traveled it seems exciting to get a tattoo while you're out at some local place. But my fiancé and I are so thrilled with our last visit and the continued success in having art done at Southern Draw, I'm certain to save my future tattoo designs for another visit to Southern Draw. 4 1/2 hours drive is worth knowing you'll be happy with the work they do. Thank you JD, Will, Rhonda, and the other skilled artist of Southern Draw for the top notch...
Read moreMy best friend of 30 years wanted to get matching tattoos for her birthday. I had already done research on artists outside of my area and had decided that I liked Matt's work and decided to use him for a coverup planned for the near future. When my friend told me what she wanted, I thought " What's greater than going to eat good food then going to get some new ink?" I decided very quickly the answer was NOTHING is greater than that! So I was in! I called to make the appointments and made the $60 deposit to secure the spots. I emailed Matt what we wanted and he had everything ready to get to work when we arrived. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and the shop was very clean. Matt was easy to talk to and asked lots of questions along the way to make sure we left there happy with our new ink . My friend also got a piercing and Logan was very professional and descriptive in what she should expect and the aftercare. My friend and I both left extremely happy with the ink we got and the experience. I am glad I researched and found Matt. It was well worth the drive and the money and I will be back soon for that cover up! Thank you...
Read moreTyler is the only professional one there, I got a tattoo from him day before so went back for a second tattoo with Tyler. The lady at the front desk very rude and unprofessional told me me I could make an appointment with Tyler since I was a local, that walk-ins are for tourists. (I dnt even live in Sevierville). Shop was not even busy it was 8pm shop supposedly closes at 11pm and was told tattoo would take about 40mins. Lady even recommends I go to another shop down the road and to tell them she sent me. Then as I was leaving she tells me another artist could tattoo me. I showed him what I wanted he says he can do it. Was gave a price of $120 then raised the price to $186. Didnât end up getting the tattoo since the artist basically told me the tattoo I wanted was stupid when I would not change the tattoo I wanted to what he drew up and tried to give me a tattoo he wanted that was simple and basic and stupid not what I showed him and told him I wanted that he said he could do. Tyler does good work and very nice. Canât say I would go back with rude lady at front desk and chance I get the rude artist (think his name was...
