Recently my wife, son, and I had the pleasure of visiting the Sunliner Diner in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for brunch. The diner's unique old-fashioned setup was impeccably executed, creating a nostalgic and charming atmosphere. We were impressed by the exceptional food quality and top-notch service provided by the friendly and enthusiastic staff. It was heartwarming to see the employees fully embracing the diner's theme, adding to the overall experience. During our visit, my son selected a few songs on the jukebox, and we were delighted to see the staff joyfully dancing along as they worked. The warm and welcoming environment made us feel like part of the Sunliner family. To my surprise, my family arranged for a birthday celebration, and the employees joined in singing to me, making the occasion even more special. While there was a minor inconvenience with parking with another customer, that could not have been foreseen by the diner, the manager's handling of the situation was commendable. Despite a potential confrontation, the manager resolved the issue gracefully, preventing any escalation. I appreciate the manager's professionalism and quick action in diffusing what could have been a challenging situation. Overall, our experience at the Sunliner Diner was memorable, thanks to the delightful ambiance, fantastic food, and exceptional service. I extend my gratitude to the entire staff for making our visit truly enjoyable."

Let me start off by saying I think our experience would have been better if we had a more experienced server. Our server was new and had to come back to the table atleast 7-8 times to confirm various aspects of the order. Several tables that sat after us got their food long before us and when we got ours it was cold. A few items were forgotten and we had to ask a few times to get them. Same with drinks. We were waiting on drinks til the end of the meal. So I do think the experience was hampered slightly. Now for the food - The fried pickles were excellent. Really good texture, great flavor. I would highly recommend these to any pickle enthusiasts. I got the Avocado Eggs Benedict, and that was also excellent. Great veggie option for any vegetarians in your party. Perfectly poached eggs, fluffy biscuits, fresh avocado. Down right delicious. My wife was less enthusiastic about her food. She didn’t care for the fish because it came pretty cold, and they forgot a few of her items. By the time they brought them the rest of the food was almost done. My daughter got a great looking parfait, she loved that. And my brother got the chicken fried steak and eggs, which he said was incredible. So my overall thoughts are that if you get a good server, the experience will be great. They come to the table and take pictures, the atmosphere is super cool, especially if you get to eat in or near one of the cars.

Poor quality, extremely overpriced food in a high-energy, busy diner ambiance. Recently had a disappointing experience at this surprisingly highly-rated diner. On the plus side, there's a large free parking lot, they are open until late, and they offer a unique, high-energy, fun ambiance with bright and colorful retro-styled decor and non-stop 60s-80s music playing in the background. The wait staff are constantly buzzing around cheerfully and ever so often breaking out into little choreographed dancing displays to the tune of Elvis Presley and other legends. Unfortunately, that's all they have to offer. The food was quite possibly the worst that we had in our five days in Tennessee. The giant burger was not only overly greasy, as expected, but the patty was tough and chewy, the cheese tasted plasticky and was burnt at the ends, and bacon somehow tasted stale. On the other hand, the chicken and waffles plate was equally abysmal. The chicken didn't taste like freshly fried, and had no flavor in the crust. The waffle itself was okay, and not much different in taste and texture than the ones you get in complimentary continental hotel breakfasts. Overall, the food was almost a little nauseating. Despite a long and tiring day we lost our appetite and had no desire to take back the leftovers.

We travelled from London to visit my parents. For a couple of days we all went to Gatlinburg and on the way we stopped at the diner! The outside was impressive and like nothing we had seen. On arrival we were seated and given menus. However no one came to take our order for some time. The manager, a lovely, funny and confident young lady we believe to be called Patti noticed our sad faces! She approached us and asked if we had been waiting a while we explained the situation. Instantly she began to look after us, took our order made sure our drinks came to us by herself! The food arrived and she continued to look after us. Her work ethic was outstanding and turned around a possible awkward situation into one of the most enjoyable meals and experiences in a long time. The food and drinks were amazing and fresh, hot and full of flavour! The portions were large and slightly overwhelming but hey it’s better than small 🤣 The ONLY thing we would complain about is the girls in black T-shirts I think they clear the tables were stood right by our table FaceTiming someone laughing rather than working. But overall an amazing visit and we would definitely come again thank you to the manager for doing her job so well Lynne Jim Miranda and Darren xx

My family went to Sunliner Diner twice while traveling through the area- once for lunch and once for breakfast. Both meals were tasty and had great service. We arrived for lunch around one and they were packed. The restaurant is unusually big, which meant we got seated right away. Despite the size, we still got our order in right away and our food was fresh and fast. We tried sandwiches, the Ruben and Club, as well as the chocolate shake. The shake was special and came with the extra on the side, amounting to a whole second shake. The next day we went for breakfast right after they opened. The restaurant was basically empty, but we still had a great experience. Similarly, we got seated right away, with our order taken and food brought out right away. We tried the chicken fried steak, which was clearly homemade and delicious. Aside from this, a big part of the restaurant is the experience. They nail the old dinner vibe on the head! The menus are newspapers, some of the booths are old cars, the staff are dressed in period attire, the music is true to the period, and so on. A lot of attention to detail was made. All in all, whether you're after good food or a fun experience, you'll have a great time here!
