I spend over eight months out of the year in hotels (I work in sales), and I stayed this hotel for a week due to a convention at a nearby center. I’m not sure if it’s different if you stay longer or shorter periods.
I’ll start off with the PROs of this hotel.
Hotel is OVERALL clean (until you get to the daily upkeep of the rooms- more on that below).
Breakfast is pretty standard but well stocked and plenty of seating area. They also have social night M-W and the food is pretty good.
Gym is nice and well kept. Equipment is work and well maintained.
Beds are comfortable and the room is spacious and has a kitchenette (stove top, fridge, dishwasher).
My room had a little balcony/patio that overlooked the mountains and it was very pleasant.
Hotel is relatively quiet overall, especially at night but the walls are PAPER thin and if you’re unlucky enough to have a neighbor that is loud…you will hear EVERYTHING they are saying.
Rooms have laundry baskets and laundry on the facilities is free to use (HUGE perk!!).
Now for the cons…
The rooms were “surface cleaned” but generally dirty. The carpet was littered with stains (pictures included) everywhere and the couch had a huge white chalky stain that they didn’t even bother cleaning. Maybe bodily fluid or maybe baby formula. Either way it was disgusting (picture included)
Do not expect your room to be cleaned. EVER. they come in to “stock up” the rooms daily. I say stock up because they do not vacuum, they do not mop the floors, and they do not even tidy up your bed, let alone change the sheets. They will drop off tablets for the dishwasher, give you dish soap and refill your towels and empty the trash. That is it.
I was here for an entire week and I had to personally request that they vacuum my room while I was there because they didn’t do it otherwise. They also do not clean the shower or toilet (or even wipe it down).
The room is relatively surface clean and wiped down when you check in but that’s as good as it gets.
Also if you’re here on the weekend, there are multiple baseball games going on throughout the entire weekend starting at around 9 AM and ending around 9 PM. This is every weekend consistently so expect to be able to hear the entire game in the entire crowd all the way to your room even with the balcony door shut.
Customer service is great (everybody is very nice and helpful) with the exception of one lady that works the front desk. I called twice on two separate occasions to request additional towels and she was there both times. The first time she grumbled OK, hung up and I never got the towels. Second time (this was at 5 PM) she suggested I wait until the next morning for house keeping to show up and ask them when they’re outside my door.
Thankfully, the other days that I requested additional towels there was somebody else at the front desk and they immediately sent up the towels.
The hotel is pet friendly and I was unfortunate enough to stay in a room right across from a couple that had a dog that would bark incessantly at all hours of the day. They were there the entire stay that I was there and this dog would bark very early in the morning and very...

Read moreWe stayed for about 4 days - December 22nd through the 27th and I have a few minor complaints. The overall stay was just ok. We picked the hotel specifically for a few reasons: the main one being that we travel with our children, and we wanted adequate space for them to move about with out us feeling the pressure of being cramped into a traditional hotel room. It offered a full kitchen and separate sleeping quarters. Great. But not really. The bathroom is oddly placed and even more difficult to use if you have sleeping children in the room, because the sink area extends out into the sleeping area with no separation. Only the shower and the toilet (which is entirely too small) are behind a door.
This is going to sound strange, but the tv's are literally impossible to work. So much so, that there are instructions left in the rooms to tell you how to navigate through, just to get to basic channels. The remote offers Netflix, but it won't allow you to log in as "this feature is currently not available".
The walls are thin and you can literally hear everything. Fortunately for us, there was no room to the left of us and I don't think anyone was to the right of us until the night before we checked out. Whoever was on top of us though...must've been having a rave because it was non stop noise all night long.
The worst part? The breakfast. This hotel is completely new to me. I typically stay at the Embassy where breakfast is ALWAYS top tier. I knew it wouldn't be the same, but I was at least hoping for something comparable. No. It was horrible. First if all, there was literally no food. I guess the breakfast person called out and they had to pull a random person from God knows where to manage the breakfast. She did the best she could, but I couldn't understand why they didn't already have the food prepared (or being prepared) to have enough to accommodate the guest. People were clearly annoyed, myself included, because we had little starving kids and hadn't planned to go out for breakfast during our stay since it was to be included. The next day, we didn't even try. We just stayed away, and hoped it would be better the next day. Wrong again. Christmas day was even worse. Kids were unattended and taking mounds of food and not leaving any for the line that had built up because of the time that it was taking to get it out in the first place. The waffle batter was empty and there was no syrup left at all. We left, and went to Sunliner diner. Again, spending extra money, that we had no intention of spending.
Lastly, on the final day, I woke up to a notification of an additional pending charge of $470. I have no idea why this transaction was trying to be processed. I paid in full upon checkin. Pay attention to your accounts.
Overall, it wasn't a BAD stay, I just don't know if I'd stay here again. I went in with certain expectations for my family needs, and I just don't feel like...
