We were staying at the Hilton nearby & this restaurant popped up while I was looking for dinner suggestions. The name was what really caught my eye. We were warmly greeted and seated.
We came in 2-2.5hrs before close & the food took 45mins to come out. We heard the table behind us say “First & Last time here” and I totally agree.
Though the catchy name, prices, and enticing breakfast foods lured me in — I am not impressed one bit at all.
Portion size for my breakfast meal (The Grand Slam.. totally was not grand nor slam) was very small. My little cousins ordered the burgers and they seemed to have enjoyed it. Everything else was pretty plain. Soda refills were 3/4 filled every time they came with it.
The individual who greeted us at the door did stop by our table multiple times telling us food was coming out and checking on us.
After eating our food and discussing privately the quality and how everything came out — we left a bit disappointed. I think the server and person checking on us could tell or might’ve overheard us because they were totally cold & nonverbal upon dropping off the check.
The atmosphere is a nice vibe. Overall good location and looks nice. DO NOT come here trying to be healthy or protein packed meals.
I had eggs, spinach, and mushrooms omelette AKA the Grand Slam that was $17. This was literally made with 2 eggs, a few leaves of spinach, and 6 mushrooms. I also ordered the tomato soup — which was recommended by the waiter and it wasn’t good. It’s like the more I ate out of the cup the more it tasted like concentrated tomato sauce at the bottom. Absolutely disgusting.
Only come here if you want smash burgers. I do not and would not recommend nor come back. $115 for a dinner of 4 — you can get a better value, quality, and atmosphere for your $100 dinner for your family. There’s plenty of...

Fat Bear Tavern truly lives up to its name, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere that feels like a warm embrace after a long day. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the rustic charm of a classic tavern, complete with warm lighting, comfortable seating, and a friendly buzz of conversation.
The menu is a delightful surprise, featuring elevated pub fare that goes far beyond your typical bar snacks. We started with the Honey-Glazed Salmon Bites, which were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor – a must-try! For the main course, I opted for the Smoked Brisket Sandwich, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The brisket was incredibly tender, falling apart with every bite, and the tangy BBQ sauce complemented it beautifully. My companion raved about the Wild Mushroom and Truffle Pasta, praising its rich, earthy flavors and perfectly al dente noodles.
Beyond the fantastic food, the drink selection is equally impressive. They boast a wide array of local craft beers on tap, a well-curated wine list, and creative cocktails that are both delicious and visually appealing. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring our glasses were never empty.
Whether you're looking for a casual spot to grab a drink with friends, a delicious meal with family, or a lively atmosphere to unwind, Fat Bear Tavern hits all the right notes. It's a gem of a place that delivers on taste, ambiance, and service. We can't...
Read moreI know from experience from being in business for 35 years owners of restaurants and other businesses are able to put together fake addresses to give himself a higher review I am very surprised at some of these reviews I have a hard time believing they are true... I think it was the big fat bear guy was sneezing on his hand in front of the customers put his hand on the POS system and passed it to the customers as soon as our meal came they tried to sell us the old smoky for 16..99 dollars... it was supposed to be Philly steak inside a burrito deep fried it was hamburger meat and the potato salad had a hair in it right in the middle... after I already tasted some I must add... the cook came out and told me he apologized as he ran out of steak so he put hamburger meat in the middle....they were obviously trying to be deceiving...why didn't they tell me before they made it?....then the bill came and it was supposed to be 13.99 for one of the meals we ordered which was mac and cheese... I will say very small portion for that price but they charged us $14.99 instead of the correct price... at that point I felt bad for the waitress look like she was working hard I hope the owner or the chef gives her the tip that should have been given to her the tip reflects whether or not you're happy we were very unhappy they got a lot of work to do to make that place decent unfortunately start by going in and teaching them all the lesson except for the waitress as...
