Sleep Number — Hotel in Plymouth

As for my experience at the store, it was overall great. The bed is a total game changer and relieves some of my post-surgery pain. That, in and of itself, is worth the purchase.

HOWEVER (and this does not reflect on my experience at the Plymouth store or it's employees/management) I did have an issue with the manufacturer. When my Queen M7 matress with FlexFit3 base was delivered it was NON-FUNCTIONAL. I ordered the base and matress separately because I didn't think I really needed the base, but it turns out I did. I called customer service to add my FlexFit3 base to my order and was ensured everything looked OK. But that was not the case. The base and matress didn't function as described.

The remedy: Sleep number is sending us a whole new mattress - free of charge. Which we are thankful for. My issue doesn't pertain to the product itself, but perhaps there's some LSS Yellow Belt training needed to avoid this happening in the future. Although my experience was inconvenient, their HQ and employees are taking good care of the issue and that really is the most important part. My wife and I needed a new bed because of medical reasons. I visited four “bed” stores in our area, all of which sold beds that roughly fit the description of what we needed, a king size bed that raised both the head and the foot of the bed. We chose Sleep Number for several reasons, number one being the comfort, and the ability to individually adjust the bed for our separate needs. Number two was the excellent customer service. The staff at the local Plymouth store on Commerce Way were wonderful. Attentive, listened well, strong expertise about their product and willing to spend the time to answer questions, even while knowing that I was comparison shopping. The store was spotless, well run, organized, and once again the staff well trained and knowledgeable. Sleep Number was not the cheapest bed I looked at that weekend, and honestly close to the top of my budget, but it was without question the one that best fit our needs, sold and serviced by people I felt I could trust. Made a purchase today from Sarah at the Framingham store. She works normally at the Plymouth store but was covering today she said. She was very knowledgeable on the products and was very easy to work. She understood our needs and didn't upsell us on stuff we didn't need. She was 5 stars. I gave 4 stars for sleep number itself because I didn't want to buy the base for the mattress since we won't use it, but sleep number has to sell it as a package deal for what we bought. Corporate sleep number would not allow us to buy just the mattress. Also i would have preferred to get the special discount I was offered from sleep number off the sale price they had going on instead of having to take the discount off the full price but that's corporate sleep number sticking it to their customers. Other than that we are pleased....
