It's an ok craft store but it doesn't offer materials to make your own clothes. It's too pricey on simple items like a cake stand, basic decorative pillows, and candy items.
Update; I recently went here to purchase some craft items. I couldn't believe the sudden change in customer service.
There was a sales associate standing outside of the counter. Writing on a small form at checkout. There was no other person at the cash registers.
Then, the sales associate received a call on her cellphone. I was standing at the open cash register to be checked out for like 10 minutes or more. Still this sales associate didn't bother to have someone come ring up my purchases.
After this sales associate finished her phone talk; only to totally ignore me standing at the register waiting to be checked out. The sales associate went back to her clerical task.
At this point, I said to the sales associate "Is anyone going to ring me up?"
The sales associate tells me "there is no one to check you out but I can help show you how use the self check out.". I thought to myself that is ridiculous considering the time spent showing me to use self check out; this sales associate could be ringing me up on the cash register.
I said to the sales associate"I don't even see any bags for packing in my purchases at your self check out.". The sales associate tells me that they have bags and it costs 50 cents each.
At this point, I had enough of this poor customer service and wasn't going to entertain the corporate scam of buying a bag for merchandise purchased: that a business is to provide to their customers. It is part of their operating expense as a business.
I told the associate no, I am not going to spend money for a bag for my own purchases. I am not going to buy these items and will get them online and left.
It's time for people to not tolerate poor customer service because God says to treat your neighbor as you would yourself.
Paying for a business operating expense of buying the right bags the government dictates a business to use; isn't an expense burden for their customer.
These big corporations receive huge tax breaks and there is nowhere in the law it requires that they must charge customers for bags used for buying merchandise in their store.
Burlington Factory has now realized this wrongful act to their customers and they no longer charge for bags for purchases.
Now, it is time for Michael's Craft Store to do right by their customers and cease from charging for their own bags and purchase the correct bags to use.
Lastly, hire workers who care to assist customers; just as they would like to be treated with...
Read moreI ordered tie dye to pick up curbside, and when I pulled up to this michaels location, I called the number posted outside the store and was greeted by a rude employee who was extremely sassy on the phone, they screamed at me saying that they couldn't hear me when I said my name 4 times and then proceeded to yell at me that I couldn't park in front of the store even though thats where the sign was for curbside pickup. When the woman came out to my car to put the product in, I politely asked if she could put it in the back seat and opened the window for her to do so, she replied with an attitude telling me YOU NEED TO OPEN YOUR TRUNK NEXT TIME OR I CAN'T GIVE IT TO YOU and proceeded to throw my product in my back seat and walked away. I have an old car and cannot pop the trunk from the inside and was very disappointed from the service I received from the staff here. Customer service was terrible and I will not be returning to...
Read moreNice store, but always a line to check out. 1 register is usually open and it's not until there's a line around the corner that someone else is sent out to ring. Anyone that has shopped in a crafts store knows it doesn't take much for a line to form- one customer buying multiple flower sprigs or other multiple "tiny" objects for crafts not to mention glass being purchased and the cashier that has to paper wrap those items. It doesn't take much to slow down a cashier. One customer can keep you waiting whether your up next or not. Managers at Michaels should know that and be more diligent about keeping an eye on the customer wait times and...
