I'm normally a very positive reviewer but, my experience at the Redmond French Bakery was simply shocking. Think several times before ordering a sandwich from here.

I know they used to do some good stuff a couple of years ago, but, it appears they've just given up, judging by the reviews of the last 6 months, and my own experience.

Ordered 2 sandwiches. The Turkey and Cranberry was hilariously bad. Two, wet, bedraggled pieces of turkey, and a very light spurt of what seemed to be Cranberry but, we can't really be sure. That. Was. It. $6.99 for a half.

Also got a ham cheese panini with bacon. The panini bread was lovely! But it was all down hill from there. The cheese was cold, unmelted, and sparse. The bacon? Lol. Two TINY bits of what looked like fast food bacon. $11.99. For that.

This was so bad I didn't bother bringing it back. They clearly don't...

I was so disappointed today! I ordered their turkey sandwich and it was awful! The bread was stale and the one slice of cold cut turkey was sad. I took it up with the manager and instead of just apologizing to me, she argued with me. She told me I should have complained about the sandwich because now I had already eaten half the sandwich. Well I had left the bakery to eat the sandwich outside of the restaurant. I was just going to let it go, but after taking a bite of the second half of the sandwich, I noticed it was worse than the first half. But why did the manager argue with me? Especially, since I didn't want a refund or a new sandwich, I was just letting her know of the poorly made sandwich so they can retrain their staff on how to make a sandwich. I doubt I will be returning soon! I was going to buy a whole cake for my party, but...

We ordered two whole cakes over the past month for family birthdays. The first cake looked great, but was a bit frozen on the inside upon cutting. I was surprised, but thought that maybe it’s not a very popular cake and they freeze extras for when needed. The second cake was their most popular Strawberry one. When I took it out of the box to serve on the table, I noticed the frosting has cracks on top and when I started cutting it, the strawberries inside were frozen! Like crunchy frozen. Please notify your customers that they’re buying frozen cakes that may not be fully thawed and make extra time for proper thawing. I ordered 48 hours before pick up and that evening both 9in cakes were slightly frozen inside. Also, I’m not sure if it’s a standard practice to freeze a $55 cake, but I expected a...

In an effort to erase the bad memory of the heavy and greasy croissants and pastries that we bought from the Aeipathy Patisserie in Bothell a few weeks ago, we came to Redmond specifically to the French Bakery. We had our favorite Strawberry Cake, croissants, and Pain de Mie. Everything was light and fluffy and tasty, as they always are every time we have been here. 5 great big stars for the French bakery! Oh, and with everything under $4, that is a real bargain, considering the other bakery charged $5.50 to $6.50 for their inedible baked goods which we actually had to throw away. Thank you, French Bakery, for reminding us what good cakes and pastries should taste like.

Ordered a veggie quiche a couple of days ago and it was so oily it nearly seeped through the paper plate. I'm also perplexed by a cafe that's trying to promote a certain quality but serving food in low quality paper plate and plastic cutlery. There are heaps of bad reviews if you choose to read "lowest". More importantly, the owner is known for her temperament despite customers being understanding. The only saving grace of this cafe is no nearby competition & location - right at the heart of RTC and numerous parents waiting for the children to get out swimming, karate and Kumon. We need more Cafes to come in and compete for the customers.
