Comes complete with a cranky old guy with white hair who has no tolerance for pretty much anybody making any kind of noise, except for his 60s music to his own liking at the front counter. My young son and I were selecting and reading books, we then stepped to the front of the store to quietly look at our tablet with the volume low to see what the football scores were. But nonetheless he approached and told me not to have competing noise against HIS music. Yes, the employee literally told me not to compete with his music where he was sitting at the counter, about 20 feet away. Nobody could hear our tablet - we could barely hear it holding it up to ourselves. I think he was just annoyed that we had technology in HIS book store. He even walked up to us and asked if we were going to buy anything. I told him that every time we come here we buy a book, pointing to our selection on the seat that we WERE going to buy, but not this time, or ever again, except maybe to returm to bask in his self importance and listen to his burnout music and be treated as unwanted customers. The store is small the selection is a bit limited - but I'd expect that considering it is a small, independent, bookstore. Should consider this when going to this store (I think many of us have been spoiled by sprawling stores like Barnes and Noble). Selection aside, the store has several positives. 1. The staff has been very welcoming and helpful each time I've been there. 2. they provide small hand written notes on staff picks - which provides a nice personal touch to selecting something to read when you're lost.
