We have been in the market for a Mattress on and off for over a year. We happened to see the signs saying that we could try a Purple. As we walked up to the store I noticed that there were no other customers and two employees. I almost didn't go in, I hate the sales process. We decided to go in anyway. What I received was a courteous, no-pressure experience. After really liking the Purple 3 and deciding we did want a power base Dennis put all the numbers on paper for me. I like to think about a big purchase and crunch a few numbers of my own in a spreadsheet before making a big decision. When I told Dennis I would have to think about it he was completely fine letting me leave with no obnoxious sales push to buy now. I ran the numbers and it all lined up. Had I been pressured to "buy now" I might've gone somewhere else but as I was treated like a customer and not commission I was happy to return. When I returned Dennis remembered me by name and remembered all of the details from the small talk we had 4 days earlier. I was very impressed. The bed we ordered was on back order so we had to wait 2 weeks for delivery, no biggie. The day of delivery came and Dennis called to let me know the warehouse didn't receive stock in time so my delivery would have to be re-scheduled. BUMMER. The next day I hadn't heard anything so I called and got a hold of Erik. He looked at the order and found that there was a mix-up, he asked if he could call back a few hours later. Within 30 minutes he had all the details straightened out. There was a mistake on their side and the base I ordered wouldn't be in for a month. Before calling me back Erik had already fixed it, switched me to a comparable base and set delivery for the next business day. ZERO HASSLE for me. I could've purchased a Purple online, and the quality of a mattress is, to some degree, based on personal preference. We walked into this location on a whim to START looking for a new mattress. Our old mattress is 8 years old, can't remember the brand or where we bought it from. But, it has served us well.
We worked with Spencer who was great at helping guide our mattress finding journey. (You should definitely request him, super easy going, very knowledgeable, friendly and not pushy at all. Truthfully this was the best sales experience I have ever had buying a mattress, or even making a large purchase in general.) He asked questions, but not too many and then made some suggestions and easy to understand comparisons. (I absolutely hate posturpedic mattresses, never knew that until today.)
We tried 5 or so different mattresses and then tried the penultimate Purple mattress and the top of the Purple lineup. We spent probably 1-2 hours comparing and going back and forth on which we liked best, how they felt, etc.
We decided on the penultimate Purple mattress and got a great base to go with it. It was really comfortable, and I'm super excited for it. When I walked in, there was already a couple there who were clearly about to make a purchase and I stated from the very beginning that I was just looking, however, I felt like I got the same treatment as the older couple did that was going to be making a big purchase. Erik (the salesman helping me out) was very knowledgeable and gave his honest opinion on mattresses that I had questions on. He didn’t lead me over to the most expensive mattresses, instead he showed me the best sellers and was honest about the ones that didn’t exactly do so well. Initially, I only came in to browse. I wasn’t planning on buying right away, but after browsing, I found the one that I felt would be perfect. Without feeling pressured/obligated or rushed, I made the decision to go ahead and make the purchase. Erik was very personable, easy to carry a conversation with. I genuinely felt like he cared more about the customers than just making a sale. When I need to make another purchase for a bed, frame, mattress protector or supportive pillow, I will be back to this location hands down and recommend it to anyone for the customer service from Erik alone.
