Yesterday I experienced the staff at this location verbally harass and speak horribly to a family with 4 children. The children were overwhelmed and excited by all the toys and dolls. The horribly insensitive manager and two other employees told the family so loudly that the whole store could hear, saying "you need to watch your kids and they need to stop touching all the toys." I proceeded to advise the staff that these were little children and she had no right to yell or speak to them in that way. I was then verbally attacked by the staff and was then told to leave the store. I asked for the district manager information and the manager name and was refused the information to report the inappropriate behavior. I use this store at least 2 times a week. I will no longer use this location and highly suggest nobody else does unless you want to be...
Read moreMy husband recieved a basketball as a gift and he didn't need it plus it's lopsided. I googled if we could return it and found someone said possible for instore credit. We waited while the customer service person was helping someone else. My husband told the lady the situation. Then in a chastising voice got after him for not having a receipt and said he couldn't make the return. I understand policy. I don't like that policy and feel he should have been given in store credit. But my biggest complaint was how the employee didn't use good customer service. She didn't use understanding nor a kind voice to explain policy. She was just admit and chastising. Made me feel like we were stupid for not knowing 5 below's policy on returns. Every store is different. I would have appreciated being...
Read moreMy and my friend walked into five below only to immediately be told to leave our bags in the front behind the counter. As two teenagers that are often stereotyped and seen as thieves, this was very upsetting for us. At first, we weren't really bothered, but as we walked around the store, all we could think about is how the lady at the front of the store was staring at us. Our wallets were also in our bags, so we couldn't buy anything even if we wanted to. We walked around for a bit, too scared to leave early because we didn't want to be asked to empty our pockets or anything similar. We realized that tons of other people had bags on them.
We were singled out! Everyone else was allowed to have bags except two teenagers??? Unbelievable. Never coming...
