Covid has pretty much destroyed Target. It's pretty clear they have a staffing issue. Unfortunately we can't allow that to be an excuse. I can confidently say that they no longer focus on the "guest", if an employee actually says anything to you while you're shopping it's a total surprise these days. I try really hard to shop at Target but I'm forced to go to Walmart for most items and I also find that Walmart stores are now looking better and better. If Walmart is able to do this then Target should be as well. If they aren't able to figure this out... January 2024 update: I waited in line at the self-checkout behind about 10 other people. After about 5 minutes I decided this was going to be too long and had to abandon my purchase. When I walked out a few others walked out with me. Unfortunately there were several employees that were busy with tasks and unable to help customers.

The self checkout is now examining your open purses. I was at self checkout and the clerk came over grabbing my opened guess purse and looking inside it and saying, ā€œis this new? I just want to make sure it isn’t oursā€. I was so upset that he was assuming I stole the purse and put all my things in it, so I complained to the manager and he stood up for the clerk saying they now have to check everything in the cart. So be prepared to have them search through your purses and strip search and pat you down from now on. Lord forbid you have a baby in the basket, they will assume you stole him too. We are moving towards a prison state. They make you do the work for them and then make you feel guilty for stealing when you’re innocent. The manager was awful This is what my purse looked like. Completely open and sitting in the cart. Clearly it wasn’t stolen.

The good thing is, their employees who bring me my pick up order are always pleasant. The bad: Older gentlemen at the checkout line seemed annoyed when I let him know our stuff was not in fact the lady’s in front of us so he just tossed our stuff back and sighed like I did something wrong. He was grumpy the entire time. Next time we went there I avoided his line and went to another. This time the young lady not only did not look at me she didn’t say a single word to me. Not even a second after she handed me my receipt she started scrolling on her phone. I use to enjoy going to checkout lines for actual human interaction compared to no human interaction at self check out lines. Now the sad and depressed employees leave the costumers feeling just as sad as they are. Also almost every item in the cold section aisles were empty, super weird.

Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with an employee at any store. The employee was Chase, who was working the drive up service.

After checking in for my order, he came to my window and let me know one of my items was missing but that he could load up the rest of the stuff in the meantime. My exact words were ā€œokay, no problem, thank youā€ In response to this, he told me if he could give me any ā€˜advice’, it was that if I wanted to use this service in the future, I should give them more time before checking in. And that it was my fault they weren’t able to find the missing item in the amount of time I gave them. I was extremely caught off guard by this comment, as it was completely unprovoked. I never once made any comments about the amount of time it was taking. I understand I only gave them about 10-15 minutes before checking in, but I was running other errands in the same parking lot, so I gave as much notice as I could. Also, I’m not sure why I was receiving these comments as I never once made any sort of complaint and was totally understanding of the amount of time it was taking.

After loading the other items, Chase then told me that there’s nothing else he could do at this point because the other item was missing. Said ā€œso I guess I’ll talk to you in a bit since that other item isn’t readyā€ and walked away back into the building. I was sitting there in shock waiting for the other item wondering why I was receiving this treatment for absolutely no reason. After my order was complete, I continued to watch him run around flustered with other orders and shaking and yelling at his device.

This employee should not be working with customers. If he can’t manage the stress and feels the need to take it out on customers, especially ones who are understanding and patient, maybe a role such as stocking items in the back would be better fit for him, or maybe a job not with Target since a majority of the roles with this company expect basic customer service skills.

It also seems like he must’ve noticed my husband had ran inside while I was waiting for this order, as I doubt he would’ve spoke to me this way had I not been alone. Very disappointed and will not be using Riverdale pickup any more. I truly hope the manager of this location will address the situation after discussing the...

This Target gets 0 stars from me. I am a part-time service delivery driver. I stand in support of all the DEI employees affected by targets rollback. So I have not shopped at a target in a while and I have never shopped in this particular target since I moved to the area. Recently, I’ve been getting shopping delivery orders at this target in a total of three of them so far. Each experience walking into this particular store I am initially followed throughout my whole time in the store what store managers and workers are proclaiming to not be loss prevention. Today when I arrived to the store to perform a shop and delivery for a client. Not only was I followed by loss prevention, He proceeded to speak to me in a rude manner treat me as if I did not belong there and so did the staff in the store. One lady even told me that she was going to ask me to leave, after I explained to her that I was being harassed and followed. There was no indication for loss prevention to follow me other than the color of my skin because no one else was being followed throughout the store and no one else is being mistreated and ignored the way I was being treated and ignored.. i’ve never been in any store and felt unsafe. The way I felt today was very scared. I was afraid that something was going to happen to me. The fact that racism and racial profiling exist in 2025 in a store that are not doing good with numbers as we speak right now, is blasphemy. No one should feel unsafe in public because of the color of their skin and races. People should not be in the workplace racist. People are very dangerous if you don’t like a person because of the color of their skin or if you are immediately assuming that they are doing bad things because of color of their skin. You are racist and you should not be allowed to work in any place. I will drop another review with the photo of the gentleman that was following me around the store if corporate doesn’t respond properly because I spent an hour on the phone withcorporate after incident. And FYI, I would never get my groceries from target I shop at Natural Grocers...

I went to return a flannel I purchased within the last month to the Riverdale, UT location and was told I cannot return it because I’m over a $100 limit for returns without a receipt. The Target employee even got a supervisor and I was denied the return from her. My purchase wasn’t able to be located using my card because my card is new because my old one expired. However, they mentioned that my husband could return it. What sense does that make? Someone else can return the same exact item for in store credit, but I can’t. It’s the same exact result. The items I have previously returned without a receipt that were part of my $100 limit included an appliance that stopped working (because we expect appliances to last longer than 2 months), and children’s clothes with tags attached. I live 30 minutes from Target, have young kids which is why I wasn’t even able to try on the flannel in the first place. I grabbed a size and purchased it with other items and left the store. Now my husband will have to take it back, wasting his time, for the exact same result...the item will be returned. Target, please examine this policy and either make execeptions or hire employees that can use common sense and good judgement to determine whether or not an item should be returned or exchanged. If your system keeps track of amounts of items returned, but not the items purchased, that should be changed to reflect items purchased/returned to determine patterns of dishonest people. I’m a hard working mother that doesn’t have time to deal with situations like this.

On a side note, the employee in returns today was not professionally dressed. I would have expected her to work at maybe Hot Topic or Walmart due to the lack of hygiene and multiple...
