GameStop — Local services in Riverdale

I don't usually leave reviews but this location is the worst. I would go to the Clinton gamestop if I was you that's what I've done since I was a kid I only went to Riverdale cause its on my way home from work. Went here one day to pickup a game and end up standing in line for 20 minutes to a half hour and the line maybe moved by 2 people so I left cause my wife was with me and it's the holidays and who can wait a hour just to get 1 game. Then I go in the next day to buy the game before they close early, and my license has expired and I'm told I can't be sold the game, I'm 28 the ship has sailed on me not being able to buy a m rated game over10 years ago. I tell the guy my ID is in the mail I renewed online which I won't do again cause it takes forever and I don't have a temp cause I renewed online but my information on my ID will be the same minus the date it expires but he says it doesn't matter cause its not valid... Needless to say between the two experiences I won't go to this location again they are the worst and there customers service is horrible they will talk to people forever about dumb stuff while the line keeps growing. If they would had good customer service I would have got it the first day when my wife was with me and I could have used her ID....

If I could leave no stars I would. Super disappointed in this location and it's supposed management. The other day while waiting in line like many others for a pokemon release. The manger came out and had an employee take a video of customers a few people up from. Me weird but I didn't think much of it. Let me add i regularly see this family and they are very respectful of drops and the pokemon community. This family gave my child and etb a few months ago knowing he was to far back to get one. The manager comes out to give everyone tickets. This guy and his wife are second in line. She teases them with a ticket and doesn't give them one. That alone really rubbed me the wrong way because they have been fairly respectfully waiting for hours. About 10 minutes go by and the cops come. They inform this family that although there was no reason given that they will be trespassing them from all locations. The cops then told them how they also thought it was dumb and unfair they were being trespassed at the managers request with no reason given. After this witnessing this I will not be returning to any of my local locations. I will also be canceling my gamestop pro membership because this...

Bought a used console 2 days ago and the controller didn’t work. Went in to exchange under warranty and was first told that they couldn’t help me because he console wasn’t purchased at their store. I then was told that the warranty wouldn’t carry over (even though the store has a 7 day return policy). Ayame was really rude- not even wanting to help and looking for every excuse to not help me or her coworker with anything that was going on in the store. She was rolling her eyes when I spoke and whispering to her coworker about the situation when I wasn't near the counter. She was also incompetent and made her coworker (Gage?) help me and the costumer that was in the shop instead of stepping up and helping him carry the load. Gage was very helpful and friendly and worked to figure out the details so that the situation was fair. Gage deserves some praise and recognition. Ayame… not so much.
