Ichiban Sushi Ogden — Restaurant in Riverdale

Ichiban Sushi is delicious! The environment is so clean and it is nicely lit. Please, please don't judge this restaurant based off of the previous establishment! The space has been completely remodeled, new floors, new paint job, new everything! The food came out in an acceptable amount of time. All of our orders were correct. The sushi was at a perfect temperature and the hot plates were hot! All the sushi was 50% off and even the hot plates were super affordable. One half of our table had a ticket with 3 people and it was just $50! The other half of our table had a ticket with 4 people and their bill was around $60. I got the Lion Roll, which was delicious and came out to only $9.25! I also got a plate of chicken lo mein that was so good. My daughter got a cute bento box that came with a really decent amount of food. My partner got the beef and broccoli and she really enjoyed it. Omg, this place also has dessert sushi rolls! Our table shared one, the Heartbreaker Roll, I think it was called. This dessert roll had banana wrapped in rice and topped with thin sliced strawberries and drizzled with condensed milk 🤤 It was so good!

Ichiban Sushi sat our party of 7 no problem. Our server, Kyle was so kind and was on top of drink refills. Kyle interacted with us the perfect amount lol. Like, you know when you have a server that kind of lingers, or even worse, one that never comes by after your food has been brought out? Well, the servers at Ichiban Sushi were nothing like that. Everyone was so kind. I really appreciate that Ichiban Sushi opened were it did. The location is so close to home, we know we will be visiting it often! We already plan to bring three different people here very soon.

I think everyone should try Ichiban Sushi at least once. Give this place a chance and see how truly delicious and affordable it is! We came around dinner time, but I did notice they also had a lunch menu with some great deals as well. Oh, they also serve alcohol! So unlike me, don't forget your ID! 😂 They had Saki on the menu and I was pretty bummed I wasn't able to have some. A good hot Saki after freezing outside doing yard work would have been so nice. Best believe next time I go, I'll be sure to come prepared haha.

We told out waiter, Kyle that it was our first time and how much we enjoyed the place and he gave us a $5 off coupon and a reusable bag to take home!

I really hope that Ichiban Sushi can be given a solid chance. I would like for this place to be around for a long time and for it to be prosperous. Next time you're out shopping in Riverdale give it a try! I'm certain you...

Edited to add: we have become frequents at this restaurant and now the server knows what we like to order lol. They have never disappointed us. Every roll we have tried is delicious. Some of our favorites are the Tokyo, Ninja (that ones fried), Mars (raw fish in that one), and Honolulu (again a fried roll.) such friendly staff too. Seriously they are so kind and they balance swinging around to your table so well...not too much and not too little. I believe the server we get a lot is named Kyle? They are all great but we have been served by him the most and he's awesome. Very polite and very helpful with knowing what to choose. We love Ichiban! Please never go away!

Wow my husband and I were very impressed. I don't give a ton of reviews but I just had to for this place. It was very tasty. We normally go to Tona because they are considered one of the best in the state but it's becoming unaffordable for us and their portion sizes have gone down. This, to us, is a close second compared to a lot of other places we have tried, but is also more affordable and the rolls are larger. Service was quick, the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. I definitely recommend the Tokyo roll. So far it's my favorite. That was delicious and does not have raw fish, for those who don't like raw stuff in their sushi. Seriously this will be a place we will come back to for satiating our sushi cravings.

Where to begin! The whole visit was lovely of course, and I gave it five stars so you know I thought highly of it, but why?

Well, from the moment we walked through the door the service was amazing. We were treated incredibly kindly of course, but Kyle (our server) went well and above the normal expectation. It genuinely felt like we were family who had been out of town for far too long and we had finally returned to be seated at his table - and with the exception of one person at the table it was our party's first time there. Kyle made sure to answer any questions about my wife's dietary restrictions and even made some good recommendations for the table to have as appetizers.

When our food arrived it was well worth the wait. The appetizers were to die for, the entrees superbe, and the sushi spectacular. Each roll was well crafted and contained just the right amount of each ingredient to be truly exceptional amongst other sushi restaurants. The entrees were fairly large portions - even from the kids menu - and what few modifications we had were expertly followed. All in all, you go to a restaurant for food and in that, this restaurant excels.

I could wax poetic about the ambiance, but even my honeyed words would not do it justice. Despite being there during a dinner rush we didn't feel either rushed or forgotten. Nor did we feel packed in like sardines. The restaurant is spacious and warm, inviting and sustaining.
