5 Stars: Second experience: Now the criticism. I got the "half pound" burger this time. Bun is not toasted and it was like eating a meatball. Tasted good. Just hard to eat. Those door fans SUCK! I understand that "chain" BBQ restaurants have unique challenges, but that stupid fan almost knocked the trays out of my hands. We don't have that kind of bug problem in Utah. Despite an employee telling me it was a health code violation to not have it, this device IS NOT necessary. It's like going into Costco or something. A one person bathroom? Really? This might be okay at a roadside diner on I-80, but not in Riverdale, Utah. I never got a chance to wash up after eating. Again, challenges of a chain BBQ joint. Finally, I don't really like having to be part of a "club" to be recognized for my military service. Just give me 5% off and get rid of that silly system....chain BBQ joint. No stars deducted. Just feedback. 5 Stars: Unbelievably good. This has been missing from the northern Utah area for a long time. Every new barbecue restaurant that pops up gets a try by me and this is by far the best I have had in over 20 years. I'm from Texas and often cook brisket and it's nice to be able to sit down and eat one without having to struggle for hours to make my own. The service is amazing and the sliced brisket is outstanding. I got myself a sandwich made moist which means I had a little bit of extra fat. You can order it lean if you want but why would you rob yourself of the flavor? I'm so glad to have this restaurant in our area. They have a fun backstory too. Just ask one of the employees. Highly recommended. I will be trying everything on the menu. Everything. They just handed me a sample of pulled chicken. It's pretty good too. Even without any sauce.

My first time eating at Mission barbecue and I was immediately addicted to the moist brisket the potato salad was so delicious, the green beans with bacon were good as well the coleslaw was yummy a bit crunchy and not to milky the reason it's đŸš« 5⭐ is that the corn bread and strawberry shortcake were both dry... to dry to enjoy! They serve authentic BBQ made from the freshest, most delectable ingredients and all options are made from scratch using fresh ingredients, and all their meats are smoked in-house, with no freezers or microwaves used in their food preparation. They emphasize quality and fresh ingredients to let the natural flavor of the meat shine, often with simple seasonings like salt, pepper, and garlic, along with their homemade rubs and sauces. The atmosphere is not like a steakhouse it's more chill you order from the counter and sit where you would like. Decorated with a patriotic dining room filled with tributes to those who’ve made Our Country great with Videos on the TVs and photos and badges of our countries protectors and heroes. There's nothing more American than BBQ, and nobody is more American than the brave men and women who have sworn to protect and serve Our Communities and Our Country. Soldiers, firefighters, police officers, first responders those who serve and protect & all our loved ones in service are shown appreciation at mission barbecue, here they express the appreciation we all have for them and what they do for the people of our nation, so Kudos to mission barbecue for that.

The taste of the food is fabulous! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the portion size of the turkey vs. cost. I ordered the 2 meat with 2 sides and a drink. I had the sausage, which was fantastic and the serving size was spot on. I also tried the Turkey and it tasted great, but the serving size was not what I expected. I got 3 small pieces of turkey. The 2 pieces on top, were small enough they could very easily fit inside the side dish container with no modifications. (See picture.) The piece on the bottom, however, was half of those pieces and quite thin. The green beans had great flavor! The Mac & cheese was creamy and cheesy, delicious! And my cornbread was not dry like others had mentioned. Overall the food was great, but a bit expensive for my budget. 2 meats, 2 sides, and a drink was about $25. It's alot of food, but definitely a splurge for me, not something I can get very often. (Although this was a taste testing experience as well.) Hopefully we see some coupons coming in the mail soon!

My wife and I went here to see if we like the place better than our usual place since this is closer. As soon as we walked in the door it was so loud I almost turned around and left. The music was playing so loud everyone was yelling over each other to be heard. The server at the counter was having to yell so we could hear her, I’m a vet and have bad case of tinnitus and so loud noise for me hurts like crazy. We ordered and the cost was much more than it should have been for a typical meal for two adults. $45 for two is a bit pricey even for today’s market. The food in my opinion while it was edible I’ve had better. I/we did like the ability to chose the sauce at the table because of the 6 different containers to chose from that was nice. The overall atmosphere says we support our hero’s because on every single wall there are pictures and patches from military to police to fire and EMS. This I love as a Veteran. They do not have a Veteran’s discount at checkout, but they do offer a sandwich here and there throughout the year if you sign up for the VIP service for veterans and you’ll receive your free sandwich in email. I did forget to get the pictures I usually try to get and for this I apologize but I’ll try to get them next time I go in there. I will return to see if it’s the same and if it is i probably won’t return for a theirs time I’ll just continue with my favorite local bbq joint up north. Thanks for reading. Have...
