ZERO STARS! I was ROBBED!!!!!!!! So I booked a two nights stay at this hotel February 18th - February 20,2025. On February 19th I left early that morning around 8:40 am. I left my bag with all of my belongings inside the inside the closet with the exception of my soap and face wash which I left in the bathroom. So upon returning back to the hotel that evening around 6pm I was denied access to the room . The key had been deactivated. So I went to the front desk and the receptionist gave me another key. I went back to the room and the first thing I noticed was my face wash and soap were missing . Then I looked in the closet and my bag was missing. At this point I’m angry because why were my things touched and I paid for a 2 nights stay???? So I went back down to the from desk and explained this to the receptionist. He stepped away to see if he could locate my bag. When he came back he asked was this the bag? I said yes and immediately noticed someone went through the bag because it wasn’t organized the way I had it and things had been dumped out of it . So while at the front desk I went through the bag in front of everyone which was so embarrassing and several of my items had been stolen. As I’m telling this to your receptionist his excuse was I told them to clean the room they’re new and don’t speak English. That has nothing to do with them touching and going through my personal belongings. I asked was housekeeping still here and he replied no they’re gone for the day. I’ll see if they can bring your items back. What??!! This is totally unacceptable there’s no way I should be paying for a stay and have my things stolen from me .This was suppose to be a safe and secure environment and I still had to sleep there another night. I felt so unsafe I didn’t get any rest and not to mention there was a huge bug in my bag. The next morning morning when I checked out I spoke to a different set of employees that weren’t much help and they gave me the phone and email address . I’ve been calling and left several messages to speak with a manager and have been unsuccessful. I’ve sent emails and haven’t received any response. I feel like they’re hoping I just forget about it but I NEVER will! There needs to be compensation for me and consequences to your staff. Because I didn’t feel safe there after that and won’t be returning. I’ve never felt so VIOLATED in my LIFE! Do NOT stay...
Read moreIf I could give ZERO stars, I would. My experience at the Radisson Detroit Airport was absolutely appalling and completely unacceptable.
Due to the Air Canada strike, my mother’s flight was cancelled, and I needed to drive through the night from Canada to Detroit to pick her up. I booked this hotel through StayForLong at 9 PM before starting my drive, expecting a few hours of rest before collecting her from the airport at 5:30 AM.
When I arrived around 2:30 AM, the man at the front desk was unprofessional from the moment I walked in. He first claimed there were no rooms available, despite my confirmed booking. When I insisted that I had a reservation, he then said there was a room but that it “had a smell,” and told me to come back down if I couldn’t handle it.
I took the key, but it didn’t open the door. I went back to reception, and the front desk agent came upstairs with me - only to confirm the key still didn’t work. We went back downstairs, where he abruptly told me there were no rooms available after all and that I had to leave.
At this point, it was 3 AM. Exhausted after driving for hours and needing to pick up my mother in just a few hours, I had to scramble to find another hotel, pay again, and check in just to get two hours of rest before the drive back to Canada.
To make matters worse, the Radisson falsely marked me as checked in and checked out in their system - despite me never staying there. I have proof from another hotel showing my actual check-in and check-out times. This is not only dishonest but potentially illegal.
No one from the hotel will respond to my calls or emails, and I’ve been completely ignored. I am now in the process of filing a police report and escalating this matter with both StayForLong and Radisson corporate.
This hotel should be ashamed of its complete lack of professionalism, integrity, and basic human decency. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else - even sleeping in your car would be a better experience than dealing with the Radisson...
Read moreI can’t believe the number of positive reviews for this place. It’s shocking to me. Delta airlines put us up here for a night (well, really for four hours - from 1am to 5am) due to a delayed flight. It was the most disgusting and unacceptable hotel experience I’ve ever had. If I hadn’t been so desperate to get my overtired 3,5, &7yo even a few short hours of sleep before we had to return to the airport, I would have walked out and demanded that Delta find us a better place to stay. We stayed on the second floor (I believe in room 215). The lobby seemed alright, but immediately upon exiting the elevator, I noticed really awful stains on the walls, damaged doors and walls, and really rundown conditions in general. Then the room itself was gross. Stains on the carpets and walls, holes in walls, a handprint on the bathroom mirror, hairs on the bathroom floor. Miraculously, the bedding looked clean and freshly changed, so I did feel comfortable laying my girls down to sleep. But then barely a half hour after I laid them down, loud music started in one room next to us, and loud men talking in the room on the other side. The walls seemed paper thin. Slamming doors, shouting, music. I mean, and all of this at close to 2am for at least an hour. Somehow my girls fell asleep, but I could barely manage to get 30 minutes in. I will say, the man at the front desk was very pleasant to us at check in and gave us toothbrushes and toothpaste, along with some Tylenol for free. But that was where any positives ended. I have no clue how other people have had such positive experiences here, unless maybe they give their worst rooms to people who get a free stay through Delta? I’ll definitely be following up with Delta to share our experience, but I’d caution anyone who is thinking of staying here to at least check out your room first. I, unfortunately, didn’t take any pictures of anything because of the time of day and the stress my family was already under given the delayed flight, but...
