I booked, paid online for two nights, My daughter who happens to be one. and I stayed at this hotel, I didnāt have the funds to pay for another, After two nights passed I wanted to renew when it was time for me to check out so, Asked family, church friends to see if people would support me financially because I had nowhere to go.
When a friend of the family reached out they sent money to help me with my situation. I then was able to book online for one more night.
When checked in on the first night, I noticed In The room I was given on the ground floor with the air conditioner being off that their were bugs coming from the air conditioner I didnāt notice this until I woke up from a long nap because I work third shift and am on a different schedule.
When I realized this, I went to the front counter and asked to be moved into another room, because Iām a guest and want to feel comfortable NOT!!. Uncomfortable!!. ,
So the lady at the counter kindly gave me another room.
When I checked into the second room, I realized that, That room had roaches so I didnāt want that room when I renewed for the third night.
When I told the lady when checking out that I booked a reservation online and wanted to renew another night making that my third night I was thinking they were going to give me another room.
when I asked to be moved to another room the lady at the counter gets on the phone and closes the door when she came out told me she had just got off the phone with her supervisor to tell me that at that point all I could do was check out leaving my daughter and I no where to go, and refused to give my daughter and I another room and that they had to spray the rooms and that the bugs werenāt there before I got there so I asked the lady what she was insinuating confused as to what was going on??. And I told the lady so what are you saying that I brought the bugs here??. And she then said no, thatās not what Iām saying so then I told her you just told me that the bugs werenāt here when I got here so yes you are saying that as if Iām a filthy person with my one year old daughter Iām a mother who has to make sure my daughter is clean and sanitary!. We had no bites on us or ANYTHING!!. When my daughter and I were on the phone with the friend of the family who happened to send me the money after they heard how I was being treated called on another phone to see what was going on with me still being on the phone the lady told her on the phone that the bed bugs were not there before she got here and was in complete shock because I never mentioned anything about bed bugs.
I checked out with my daughter in her car seat, with all my luggage and when my daughter and I were forced to check out, we were left standing outside for about 3-4 hours while I was forced to lose sleep for work. Until this stranger from nowhere paid for my daughter and I at another hotel.

   Read moreI may have misjudged the desk clerk when I arrived, he seemed a tiny bit rude to me. On the whole he was professional and the room I was given was clean, albeit freezing enough to hang meat in! Someone had left the window open and it was 25° when I landed in the Detroit airport. My son even commented that he could see his breath, and I saw it too a second before it disappeared. He turned up the thermostat, so it was warmer when I came back. I noticed that the bedcovers on the bed I chose looked as if someone had either kissed them or bled on them, but the other one didn't look messed up, it was just wrinkled. There is a medium sized refrigerator in the room with no freezer section. Strange.
On Sunday morning as I was putting my grandson in for a shower, I noticed that there was a reddish line on the floor of the tub, as if someone hadn't cleaned up well enough from a previous shower. There are what looks like cigarette burns on the tub and outside is not clean. There are what looks like cigarette burns on the sink as well. The toilet was clean. The faucet in the sink drips when the water is fully off, so the water bill is probably astronomical at this hotel. It might need a new washer to fix the problem.
Speaking of washers, the hotel washer was out of order, but the dryer was available, all you need is four quarters.
As of this writing, a maid came by to clean rooms on the top floor, but no one has been in this room to clean up. I still have the same stained bed cover. I was told that when guests stay as long as I did (10 days), they don't come in, but if I needed anything, I just had to ask.
There is not a lot to do in this area, but we found a couple of restaurants within walking distance where we can eat, so there's that.
The mattresses on both beds are on box springs that are too small. The spread on the other bed has cigarette holes burned into it, this must be from when smoking was allowed in the hotel.
That red line didn't come up when I cleaned the bathtub myself, so it's not blood. The phone in the room I was given had a different room number on it. Idky the peephole in the door had a little piece of paper stuck in it. I got it out. The TV has an immovable smudge on it, but it's still watchable. The electrical outlet next to the adjoining room door, it works but plugs don't stay in it. That has to be fixed. Usually hotel rooms have pen and paper available, this one doesn't, smh. The bottom drawer is broken and someone left a pair of boy's underwear under it.
Got new sheets and pillowcases this morning, 4/7/2021. I tried to clean the outside of the tub with wipes I brought from home, they didn't work. A good Brillo or SOS pad should do the trick.
