FairBridge Inn Express Merrillville — Hotel in Ross Township

This is a extremely low motel. The rooms are very old school and not clean. There's a odd smell, cobb webs, mold in the bathroom, the carpet is filthy they don't vacuum behind the furniture or under the bed I found a used condom wrapper in the room. They put a strip on the toilet saying clean/sanitized and you can see the urine on the toilet. There's no shower liner so you're getting everyone else grems, just was up in the sink the best way that you can. The don't clean the shower/tub you can see the dirt ring. The don't take the comforters or blankets nor sheets off the bed and clean them I have found hair and blood stains on the bed, the bedding has cigarette holes. They don't dust the mirrors or the furniture or the "headboard", curtains smell like cigarettes because they are not taking them down to clean them. They have free coffee in the morning until 10:30am but the coffee pot isn't clean there's a brown stain on the pot where the coffee comes out. This place is where people live and they come for a one night stand, drugs and alcohol even the front desk will hangout with the guests drinking and smoking. The only good thing is that you park right at your room door. They have a pool as soon as you pull in it's on the left with the white fence, but I wouldn't trust it. Don't sit in any of the cloth chairs because they are FILTHY you can see the stains double up a towel if you have to sit in those chairs. It's quiet. No closet you have a dresser which is not kept clean. Bring smoke odor spray and disinfectant spray/wipes. This is not a kid...

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE STAYING!

This has got to be one of the worst hotels I have ever been. The initial appeal of the rotting door frame as you enter the room is your initial welcome. When you close the door it is so bad that light comes through almost the entire door frame. You are then met by an absolute smog of cigarette tar on the wall. I was only there for 7 hours and I smelt like I smoked 3 packs of cigarettes when I left, so wrap your clothes or leave them outside. The cigarette burns on the mattress and bed frame is quite a rustic look. Not sure when the last time the floor was swept. Upon walking in there were two hair pins and randomly a drywall nail on the ground. Now I don’t need perfect paint but when it’s basically sloughing off of the walls I mean…. It’s time. My personal favorite was the dried urine all around the toilet bowl. However someone was nice enough to put the paper around the toilet seat indicating they cleaned it.

Sue that’s works in the front desk Indian lady lies about rooms being available feel like there was some kind of discrimination or something bc she told us she didn’t have any rooms for the day so I made my mom call cause I’ve stayed here quite a bit and I ask her to call to see if they were lying and sure enough they were lying not even they just sue I’ve only had an issue one time bc I felt like I was being judge by who I was little do they know what ppl really go through been homeless living day by day and she continued to make our day worse so with that being said either upgrade the ppl that work here or this place with never get better people like SUE make ppl not want to come here and it’ll soon slow your guys business down found another place close and very glad some people know how to act don’t think they deserve to get our...
