Where do I even begin? The neighborhood was shifty and had a homeless encampment around the corner. We checked in around 9:30-10 pm and the clerk didn't even get off his phone call to check us in. We were given the room and when we pulled around, imagine our surprise when we found the security latch on and someone in the room! We went back to the front desk and he didn't even apologize and just gave us a different room two doors down. Luckily, this one was vacant.||||We had to ask for a second key, despite my companion and I both being at the desk to check in, and he literally had to unwrap a new key to be able to give us a 2nd. ||||Once in the room, we were settling in to relax and weren't very happy that the lights wouldn't all turn on. We discovered that the bulb on the main sconce was unscrewed, and there were switches near the bathroom that didn't seem to have any function. We also had to plug in the televison to use it, and the wifi barely worked.||||For a "suite" it was a decent size and there were a lot of outlets, but unfortunately the only outlets near the head of the bed was behind the bed...which I'd think is where a modern traveller with their phones would want an outlet. We pulled out the bed a bit to see if we could plug our chargers in there and were horrified to find a poorly wired outlet that wasn't secured properly into the wall - BEHIND THE BED where the fabric was clearly a fire hazard. When we were leaving, we pulled the bed out more to unplug our chargers and actually found what we fist thought was a small tennis ball and then realized it was a dried up lime!||||The room was about as clean as it could be (save the lime). The bathroom had some grout and rust issues, there were scuff marks everywhere, and the bathroom sink faucet didn't work right. The room also smelled like cigarette smoke, despite supposedly being a non-smoking room.||||The only good thing I'll say about this place was that the AC worked properly, which for a June weekend in Sacramento was critical, and the bar area was new and nice.||||I absolutely would not stay there again unless I was paid to stay there. And even then, I might...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!!! Made a horrible mistake of staying here. There was NO hot water, the bath towels were the size of hand towels and were thin and raggedy. The walls are extremely thin so it was very noisy (it is along a freeway, and near a busy street) in addition, it’s bordering a homeless camp and a lot of transients were walking both the parkinglot and around the interior of the motel. The room and furniture reeked of smoke smell and the furniture was very obviously dirty. They only provided 1 bar of soap, so don’t expect a separate soap for the shower or shampoo or conditioner. We booked for 2 nights but immediately left after the first night. Worst of all, before even coming to the hotel I had called the property more than a dozen times (and emailed) regarding a possible late check in (knowing that because of Covid, some hotels have limited front desk hours) and no one ever answered. When it was time to check in and out someone was there but was not friendly or helpful, and I would even say they weren’t coherent. During checkout they took our keys and left, no receipt no nothing. When I tried to ring the bell for service (which is basically a service window, their lobby was closed and locked the whole time we were there, even in the morning at 10am) no one returned and again, no one answered the phone. Very frustrated with this place and I hope to spare others of the...
Read moreThe 1st room given was awful. You can smell the cigarette and mj. Bedsheet was not changed. When I informed them, they said they will give me a better room the following night and apologized that there was nothing else available. Needless to say, I put up with it, sprayed the room with my fave scent and did not sleep under the sheet. With that said, I was miserable in the morning. I took all my personal belongings the next day when I left for breakfast. I went back after 1pm and they put me in a much better room with a small adjoining living room, fireplace and sink by the fridge. It smelled nice when I walked in. I ran my bath, ate my filet of fish for dinner, drank Michellada and watched Netflix on my tablet. I slept on one side of the king size bed (I do the same on my queen bed at home). When I stretched my left foot to the other side I felt something soft. It was one of those ear plugs. Ugh! That was another disappointment. I could laugh about it now. The husband and wife in charged were very nice people. It was difficult to get mad. I only saw 1 maid when I was there, so, that could have been the problem. Silly me,, I created my own "me time" once a month just to unwind, rest my body, sort things out for myself and mostly sleep and take long walks during the day. It's been a very interesting experience trying different...
