I am writing to formally report the unacceptable conditions and treatment my party experienced at Crossroads Inn in Sacramento, California. Upon check-in, we were given a room with a malfunctioning air conditioning unit that emitted a foul, moldy odor. The smell was so strong it made the room unbearable. When we requested a room change, we were moved to another room — but the conditions were just as bad, if not worse. The second room had a dirty, unsanitary microwave and fridge, both of which had visible grime and food residue. Several drawers in the room were broken and unusable. The walls and ceilings were stained, giving the entire room a neglected and unsafe feel. The general cleanliness of the room and amenities was far below even basic hospitality standards. When we addressed these concerns with hotel management, we were met with unprofessional and outright rude behavior. Instead of offering to resolve the issue or show any form of hospitality, we were told to “just stay at a hotel across the street” if we didn’t like it. This dismissive attitude added insult to an already extremely disappointing experience. We feel that we did not receive the quality of service we paid for, and we urge the appropriate authorities or review platforms to look into the conditions at this property. No guest should be treated this way. If i could give zero stars, I would !! We will never book here again. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this place or the staff. ALSO is WAYY overpriced to be this nasty, they don’t have wi-fi nor breakfast like they say they do when you book.

Paper thin walls, room looked like it had NOT been properly cleaned or maintained. Had a smell of cigarette smoke and cigarette burns on the tub edge as well as the tub's water faucet could Not be turned off no matter how hard you tried. See attached photos. Smoke alarm was missing from the ceiling. Toilet seat moved an inch in each direction and could not tighten by hand. Towel shelf in bathroom had been moved and the wall was left poorly repaired. Dirt and smudge stains on floor in several locations. Entrance door had something removed from the room side and then not fixed.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.... I got a room here.. the dang tv didn't work... There was a hole in the ceiling.. I couldn't get any privacy because you can hear next door due to the hole.. I went to tell the office and all they were able to do is give me a $10 discount.. LOL.. I was soo mad... Better not to even offer any discount in first place if your going to offend me with your $10 discount... If there was an option for zero stars I would have chosen that option

I stayed for 4 nights this last week and attended the GoldenSky Festival, as this hotel was walking distance from the venue. Bed and bathtub were clean. However, smoke alarm was missing (but electrical hookup for it was there), all handles of all dressers were loose with screws almost falling out and were hard to open, top of headboard and tops of some outlet covers on the walls had thick dirt on them, doorknob on bathroom door the screws were almost falling out. Quarter roll of toilet paper was provided, ran out of that the first night. Left the room every day around noon, hung the maid service sign on door, never received maid service. Was provided one washcloth only. After flushing toilet had a loud vibrating sound for 20 seconds near end of refilling from the flush. My car got hit on the back corner bumper while parked in the parking lot as I had white paint on my bumper. Parking spaces were only about 8 inches wider than a Toyota Corolla. Thankfully only a little scratch after I wiped it off. Free breakfast advertised however they keep their lobby door locked and you have to get buzzed in. When asking if they had coffee they said go to the nearest gas station. I'm sorry but I won't be back. Next time I'll stay further down Jibboom St at a better hotel with better accommodations and better parking where I won't be worried about getting my...
