Del Taco — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

The food is okay. When I was dining here recently and I went to use the restroom there was a crazy homeless lady in one of the bathroom stalls with a ton of clothes and junk everywhere and there was a wet mini towel in the sink. The minute I stepped into the restroom she lost control and yelled and screamed. I left the restroom immediately and told all of the staff, the male staff member almost slipped and said, "it's okay I know her!" So I continued to explain the crazy woman's behavior and the employee asked me to go back in the restroom in case the woman was naked!!! What!!?!!?! So the male employee just cracked open the door and tried talking to the crazy woman and she flipped out again, everyone could hear her screaming. Then the employee went and got other employees to help, and I hurried and ran out of Del Taco before that crazy lady left. So I don't know if they ended up calling the cops on the crazy homeless lady or not. The homeless woman was in the restroom for at least 30 minutes because she was already in there when I first arrived. The huge problem is, why are the restrooms locked when employees are letting people like this ruin restrooms for paying customers?!? Who let this crazy homeless woman into the restroom?!? I'm speechless and confused. Good thing there were no kids that needed the restroom. This entire situation didn't seem safe at all. And I really did wonder if this crazy person could get violent. Del Taco needs to not allow this to happen. Del Taco please don't let dangerous crazy people into...

Much improved!! They have a good crew right now who are hopefully being paid enough to stay! Very courteous and good at making food.

Churros are excellent of late (fresh and well coated in cinnamon sugar). I did get a bad/old fish taco once a few weeks ago for the first and (so far) only time. The Del Taco is back to solid with lots of cheese.

Previous 1 Star Review: Served me old & stale food. When I asked for fresh they cooked it again and then served me old & burned food. Refused to refund. I asked to speak to the manager and he said (these are his exact words) "She doesn't care either. THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY".

I grew up on Del, it holds a place in my heart, and this place is only 3 minutes from my house so I'm a regular (or was). I am so sad. But they are so bad: charge for water, charge for sauce substitutions (not more, just different), skimp on the expensive ingredients (e.g. cheese) so food doesn't look like photos anymore.

Taco Bell is 2 blocks toward downtown on the same street (400 & 600 E). There are lots of indie Mexican drive throughs in the area: choose them and you support a real family and will be treated well... not to mention get...

If I could leave zero -0 for this review I would. So it is Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at 1 AM and every single time I come here the same lady that’s working right now as I’m reporting this for this hour she is beyond belief rude in the drive-through while taking orders she must be racial profiling me because every single time I come there it doesn’t matter what I order what I do you how nice I am. She is very nasty mean and just acts like she doesn’t want anything to do with me or my order. When I come here to pick up a DoorDash or Uber eats She treats me like total garbage. She is what looks like a Mexican dissent and I don’t think she likes me being a white girl because I order plain as day and she acts like she can’t ever understand what I say and she’s very rude when I get to the window, she never gives me all the items I need for my DoorDash Uber eats orders. I always have to double check because I know that she’s not gonna give me the correct items. She needs to be taken off and put better customer service through the drive-through. I am also going to be reporting her to DoorDash/Uber eats because I believe that she is racial...
