Edgewater Mall in Biloxi, once a bustling hub of retail and leisure, seems to have undergone a shift in recent years. Having visited the mall recently, it's evident that the atmosphere has changed. While the mall still boasts an impressive array of stores, there's an undeniable sense of it losing its once vibrant popularity.
Walking through the corridors, one can't help but notice the excessive amount of clothing storefronts that were once filled with bustling shops. It's evident that some stores have closed their doors, and others fell out of trend. This trend is disappointing, especially considering the diverse range of stores that used to attract shoppers from all walks of life.arcade room or gaming related areas that attracted gamers to come to the mall has been filled with bookstores or clothing shops. I understand that they are paying for the store space.
On the positive side, the stores that remain open continue to offer a variety of products, catering to different tastes and preferences. The mall's layout remains convenient to navigate, making it easy to explore the shops. It's clear that the management is still making an effort to maintain a clean and well-maintained environment.
However, the decrease in foot traffic and the notable absence of the lively energy that once characterized the mall is hard to ignore. The lack of bustling crowds and the decrease in exciting events and attractions seem to have impacted the overall ambiance. It's not just about the shopping; it's about the overall experience that a mall provides.
Edgewater Mall's decline in popularity could be attributed to various factors, including the rise of online shopping, changes in consumer preferences, and the emergence of other shopping destinations. While the mall still holds potential, it might require a revitalization effort to regain its former allure.
In conclusion, Edgewater Mall in Biloxi stands as a testament to changing times in the world of retail. Despite the presence of several stores, the diminishing popularity is palpable, leading to a less vibrant and bustling atmosphere. It's a reminder that malls, like any other business, must adapt to evolving trends and consistently innovate to retain their appeal. Here's hoping that Edgewater Mall can undergo a transformation that will once again make it a thriving hub for shopping and...
ย ย ย Read moreI used to work here this places security has become a little irate their customer service skills are horrible they told a bunch of people not to sit on the benches... wait what?? You cannot sit on a bench during shopping hours? You have to shop? And I'm not saying like if you haven't even shopped yet but if you have a ton of bags and you just sit down to relax your legs or even have a conversation it's not allowed this happened today where a guy became angered by 3 of the security guards there that told him that him and his girlfriend could not sit down after shopping at the mall having a good time and told them you cannot sit down you have to shop but they were shopping they took two minutes to relax and have a conversation that was ridiculous you cannot tell people who have bought items at a place that they cannot sit down.. no customer service skills at all that is not how you treat customers the only reason that mall is surviving is because of people buying items there.. the only reason those security guards have a job is due to the businesses inside the mall that keep their doors open for their customers and pay their bills these security guards should know that but I suppose they do not and I yes did work at that mall and if I still did and saw that I would have personally walked out and stated they bought items here they can sit down not to mention they did it to another an employee at a store located at the mall until this is fixed I will keep my 1 star rating and if you do not believe that I worked there I used to work at lids you can go ask for yourself thank you and to future customers if you have bought something and wish to sit and relax in the mall and are told to keep shopping and you cannot sit down go to one of the stores and complain to management of said store and then ask for the owners name they have to give it...
ย ย ย Read moreMy boyfriend and I were in the area for a vacation and decided it would be fun to stop by the mall before heading home. There were multiple stores that were here that we donโt have back home. We wanted to shop around and have an enjoyable time together. As we were walking, two security guards (one man and one woman) stopped us, saying โMaโam, excuse me.โ So we stopped and turned around. The woman then told me, โBecause of your attire, weโre going to ask you to leave.โ My boyfriend and I were caught completely off guard. So I said, โIโm sorry? My attire?โ She then said โYour shorts are too short. We need you to leave.โ I am wearing a black loose t-shirt and American Eagle jean shorts. My midriff was not exposed, my butt cheeks were not exposed. My boyfriend said, โYes, maโam.โ And we then had to walk out a side entrance and walk around the entire mall in the rain to get back to our vehicle. Itโs 86ยฐ outside in June in the Mississippi humidity. What about wearing shorts in the summer is inappropriate? What about a loose t-shirt is inappropriate? The entire interaction was embarrassing, inappropriate, and completely uncalled for. The most infuriating part was that other women, all around me and in the parking lot were also wearing jean shorts and tennis skirts. Why was I singled out? I will never go back in...
