WARNING for anyone about to book- there are more places to stay down this road. Do not stay here!! Don't even think about it! I would rather sleep in the car and shower in the ocean over this. There are ROACHES everywhere. Nothing works. The AC is broken, and the wifi doesn't actually work. Light fixtures don't actually plug into any outlet. No ventilation. The sheets are stained. Broken window shutters covering taped up broken windows. Everything carries the illusion of a functioning room, but it's filthy and nothing actually works. DON'T DO IT! If you don't believe all the reviews of this place, ask to see it before you book.

The manager and staff were very nice. The hotel was a little shady, though. For our purposes it was fine. Rooms need to be updated. The bathroom was spectacular and a strange juxtaposition to the room. See photo for the condition of the inside of our door. Outside there was a metal plate covering the holes.

Due to the hurricane displacement no rooms were available in the area to rent during this week. I was surprised that this place was clean, friendly atmosphere, and great parking. Rooms had no issues, TV worked, wifi was sketchy but that was everywhere.

I would of given them no stars if possible!!! BEDBUGS BEDBUGS BEDBUGS!!!! They accused my husband of bringing them with us. Said they looked at the room 2 days before us coming. The maintenance man just tried to change the sheets and spray. That’s not going to do anything. The front desk lady called me the B word multiple times while I was being respectful. There was one on the bed and when the maintenance man came in the room he saw one on the wall and killed it. Looked back to see if my husband was paying attention and played it off like it didn’t happen. Left the blood on the wall from the bug. When my husband tried to go talk to the front desk lady the maintenance man tried to follow him and yell. With my husband being a black man I feared that the maintenance man was going to hurt him so I kindly asked him not to touch him please. When it comes to the owner he’s not any help AT ALL. He refused to give me the full refund only half and when I proceeded to tell him that his employee accused my husband of bringing them and that he needs to take responsibility for what his hotel has in it he told me I couldn’t have any refund. I have no idea what a bedbug looks like. I have no reason to know what it looks like. So when I came on our last night after staying for 2 days that I want a refund they refused. Please just take responsibility for what your hotel has in it. I’m not the only one who has seen them. Also when I told them I saw them they took almost 30 minutes to come to the room to look at the bedbug. If no one was paying attention the bug could of left and they would have also been accused. Just take responsibility and stop blaming everyone else for your nasty establishment. I would highly suggest you never come here. They called the cops on my husband for trying to talk. Don’t...

Please, for the love of all that is holy, do not subject yourself to the Siesta Inn in Sarasota. I ignored the abysmal ratings and gut-punching reviews on Google Maps and other platforms, thinking, ‘How bad could it be?’ It’s worse than your worst nightmare. Booking and Expedia are flat-out lying with their glossy photos of some fantasy resort—this place is a decaying, deceptive dump. The stench of mildew and something unidentifiably rancid hits you like a brick wall the second you step inside. Grime is practically a design feature, coating every surface, while the sheets are so stained they could double as a crime scene. The furniture? Splintered, wobbly relics that collapse under a harsh glare. The bathroom is a post-apocalyptic nightmare—mold doesn’t just grow; it’s staging a hostile takeover. The shower spits out a pathetic trickle of rusty sludge, and the toilet gurgles like it’s possessed. No kitchenette, no microwave, nothing—you’re left to choke down takeout in a room that smells like despair and regret. Wi-Fi? A cruel joke. The air conditioning roars like a jet engine but pumps out warm, stale air. The neighborhood? Sketchy enough to make you barricade the door and pray for dawn. The host is a phantom, unreachable until you chase them down, only to be met with a snarky, entitled attitude, like you’re the idiot for expecting a place that doesn’t violate health codes. Save your money, your sanity, and your will to live—stay literally anywhere...

BE WARNED THEY WILL ENTER YOUR ROOM AND GO THRU YOUR STUFF WHEN YOU PULLOUT OF THE DRIVEWAY! The office lady sits in the office and watches to make sure everyone is out of the room then they help them selves to your room this happened to me during my 2 week stay as I'm in the area for work. Bad deal for them as I'll be doing the whole hotel thing for a few months, so I've already booked a room at the super 8 by 75 wich is a bit of a drive for me but at least I can trust my stuff will not be molested without my concent. No need in this behavior as they have my email, phone number and know what car I drive so if they wanted to look in my room they could have gotten concent and I would have arranged it. Rooms are VERY out dated and a 2 inch gap at the bottom of the front door and a a.c that barley works so bring a fan for mid afternoons and I'll leave the constant nat situationalone for now. Much worse hotels in the area but also much nicer ones for same price! Stay at own risk but at least ready ALL reviews first.we trust when staying at these type of places the staff will be honest and will respect our privacy of our space and stuff inside our rooms so when we are disrespected in this way we lose that trust in the staff and take our business elsewhere. Hope polices will change in the future as this could be a nice...
