I have no idea how this inn has a 4 star rating. I booked a room with two double beds through Priceline a week before our trip. The inn changed our room reservation to one bed without any notification and we didn’t find this out until we had driven 7hrs from Dallas arriving at 12:30am. They then told us they had no other rooms available but refused to offer any compensation for the inconvenience. I was then told that there was nothing they could do because I booked the room through Priceline. I called Priceline and they said it was the Inn’s responsibility because they changed the reservation. The person at the front desk finally agreed to bring up a rollaway bed. When it arrived, the sheets looked like they hadn’t been washed in a month and there were dead bugs in the sheets. There was one outlet by the bed but my plug for my phone charger would not stay in and kept falling out. The cabinet in the bathroom was coming apart and had nails exposed causing a hazard for kids. I called the corporate office of the parent company, Choice Hotels and was also given the runaround with them saying they couldn’t help because it was booked through Priceline. Don’t stay here, go somewhere else.

Do not stay here. This place is undergoing renovations and it’s like walking around in a construction zone. I understand places need to keep up but this was hard to overlook. The room was clean, which shocked me considering the rest of the property. That’s where the positives stop. I never saw any notices when I booked that they were undergoing renovations. There was painters tarp all over the floors, the place smells like paint, the used painters tape for the room numbers, I had to hunt down an ice machine since the one on my floor was Out of Order, no towels, cigarette butts everywhere, and our bathroom reeked of pot. They aren’t concerned with any of this but if you don’t turn in your plastic room key when you check out they will charge you. Be cautious when booking here.

I was so scared to sleep here. The first room we got was not what we booked. We had to change rooms. The second room was the most horrible ever. The key didn't work, but that's ok,the door was open for us? As we looked the room over the stains on the couch . Hand prints on wall. Food on wall. Crumbs in bed sheets. We were worried what to expect on the next room if we complained. It was late at night and had a bad encounter at lobby already. Slept in clothes on top of sheets. Fire alarm falling off of wall. There is basically no breakfast. You can make a waffle or some cereal, nothing else. No orange juice..out. your choice of 3 muffins. Homeless shelters are cleaner and better. It would be better to stay at one of them.

Checked in for Memorial weekend. Sadly the hotel is/was in a bit of disrepair. The day and night staff were pleasant enough, especially considering the complaints they had been receiving (not from us, but although I did have some issues, nothing is truly outright complaint worthy and certainly not worth cussing--which is never acceptable . Yet the day staff handled relatively well.) We were sadly disappointed to find out that the pool and fitness area was closed. This was something that was never told to us until we got there. This devastated my granddaughter who was looking forward to a swim after being with us boring adults all day at our reunion. We were directed to the public pool somewhere in town. At $5 a day that might be a good buy but not feasible for the morning and evening swims we were looking forward to with our rooms and stay. We also were told our door was broken so that we could not use it, but had to either go through our adjoining room (which had a table and chairs in front of each door) or go around through the entrance to the inner hallway. We were not informed of this either until AFTER we were checked in. The ice machine also broken. I understand things break, but this is one thing that DID disappoint me about the staff was that they blamed it on being full because of Special Olympics. I would rather they just apologize and not place blame at all! The beds are NOT queen but full. The mattresses need to be changed because there are definitely holes worn from bodies sleeping in those same spots. The rooms seem clean, but it was concerning to see make up sprinkles on the sheets and the other bed a hair that was not ours. I understand those things can happen when making the beds but it is a bit concerning that the sheets might not be changed. . The beds do NOT have comfy and fluffy blankets. In fact, there are no blankets --only the top duvet and sheets. Duvets had been washed at one time because the stuffing is wadded in clumps. The bathtub did not drain well. In general the place is worn -- doors scuffed and wallpaper unglued or with areas pulled off--from the rooms to the hallways to the lobby bathrooms. Small maintenance items like latches and wallpaper etc. Are torn or need screwed back in place, and just the small things that generally make a place appear in disrepair. All that being said, the breakfast was hot and had a nice variety of choices. The staff generally kind and seemingly wanting to be helpful. Just not a vacation spot, or place where a person would feel relaxed and...

The smell mildew in the room was not pleasant my son had a suit that needed to be hung, and in the closet there was no bar to hang it on the hair drier did technically work but had parts busted off didn't have a tv remote when we showed up to the room, had to go back down and get one our 2nd day in the room, we had no cable, after talking to front desk, found out that they were changing cable companies, fair enough, but after it was fixed the cable was much worse than the company you were previously using, wasn't given a new list of what the new channels were and there was no guide to see what was currently on was advertised there was a pool and hot tub... didn't see any hot tub and the pool was shut down for the season, the pool was the reason we chose this hotel, didn't bother to say it was closed on the website. door to bathroom was peeling wood at the bottom because it didn't fit the door frame and scraped the floor whenever you had to open it, which also made a loud noise so you couldn't be quiet if had to go in the middle of the night there was no wall switch to turn on a light... there was a wall switch, but it did nothing, you had manually turn on the lamps, which also made for terrible lighting our third day there, we had the "do not disturb" hanger on the outside of the door, we get to the room wanting to rest and it was moved to the inside of the door.. someone had come in and taken our sheets and used towels.. since we assumed they would be by soon to finish, my wife and I go to a waiting area.. we wait 1/2 hour, nothing, so I go to the front desk and try to find out what is going on and told that they would text and if need be, go find the maid and have them do our room next.. One hour later ,still nothing, my wife and I are exhausted and so I go back down to the front desk, a guest in front of me is having the same issue... I talk to the front desk where she finally goes to find the maid, which she does, talks to her for about 5 minutes and then the maid takes another 20 min to finish cleaning our room, so almost 2 hours of being able to use it... tried to have breakfast there our first morning there, and there were no forks, my wife goes to the front desk about it and just gets flatly told "We're out", no sorry for the inconvenience or apology, just...
