I've been to this place a couple times, and have tried both the Swimming Rama and Tom Yum The Swimming Rama is a dish, mostly a US thing that's not really found in Thailand, that consists of peanut sauce spread over pork (in my case) along with spinach and rice, while the Tom Yum is a hot & sour soup that has prawns, mushrooms, and other vegetables Starting with the Swimming Rama, I liked most of it. the peanut sauce was super creamy, and had that wonderful nutty flavor. Having an excellent balance between the peanut flavor and the creamy taste was really good - and this was made better by the fact that the sauce coated everything it touched since it was poured on. It made a big impact on the spinach, rice, and pork I didn't expect rice to be served with this - but it was a welcome addition as I could use it to mix everything together. It combined pretty well with the sauce to serve as a base for both the spinach and pork. I also quite liked the spinach as well Unfortunately, I thought the pork was really dry. It was a super lean cut, so no fat whatsoever - and it was utterly devoid of juice, making this a pretty hard eat. This was disappointing as the food would've been really improved had the pork been better On the Tom Yum side - I don't have too much to say about it. the shrimp in that was cooked pretty well, and the broth was relatively flavorful. I realized after ordering it that I don't like soups, but I only have myself to blame for that one This place isn't too expensive - especially for lunch - but it can get on the more expensive side towards dinner. The portions are pretty large though - as I was quite full by the end of my lunch Overall, it's not bad Thai food, but I wouldn't really call this any more than average. 7.25/10

The service was BAD as usual at this place. The waitress ignores you and pretend they don't see you when you need something. There was hair in the drink also. We tried asking for a napkin but after being ignored 3 times walking past us, we just got up and grabbed one ourselves. Then the waitress walked over and told us we can't do that, and took that napkin back and continued to ignore us! Then when the bill came, the store manager (a guy) probably felt that we did not like her service, so they added a mandatory 18% tip to the bill for a party of 2. We were confused and checked the menu, which said they will only add it for parties of 6 or more. We asked the manager and the manager informed us that they now have a new policy and will add that mandatory tip to all bills, and the menu is outdated. So we checked the bill from other tables, and none of them have the mandatory tip added to theirs (pictures attached for proof). When challenged, the manager said the machine is acting up and randomly adds it to some customers, but we check many more bills and none of them have it added. Don't go to this restaurant. Not only is the service horrible to begin with, they will slap you with mandatory tip if they ever feel that you think their service is bad. Their manager also has the audacity to lie to your face, and then pretend they don't know english when they don't want to talk to you.

Very poor service! I am not sure what went wrong today it must be that the one who was helping us is having a very bad day!! Long story short: two of us went in for a lunch around 1PM and started with soup order, when asked a question on soup itself we didn't get a proper answer. we went ahead and ordered food and since we couldn't get help to find an extra fork, I grabbed one from the near by table as it was empty. Ho mine!! never thought that was such a big mistake, the lady comes right out of nowhere and shouts as if we have done a huge crime... never once during the dining she came to check if we needed anything and by the end of it when my friend was done grabbed both the plate(including mine which was still not finished, without asking) and left after dropping the bill. Never thought I would face such an experience in Seattle friendly neighborhood. I don't think I am going back there again.

First off, let me begin by saying their food is amazing. I have never had such good curry or orange chicken before. Their food is definitely not the basis of my 1 star rating. It is their service.

I have been to Thai Thani about a dozen times to date, and during more than half of those visits the staff has treated me poorly. The time prior to my most recent visit I sat and waited for close to 30 minutes before being served a glass of water, and I had to wait an additional 10 to order while watching people who arrived considerably after I did be served before me.

The most recent visit I made to Thai Thani resulted in similar treatment, though without the wait. Several patrons were served before me while I waited for a glass of water and the server to arrive. After my order was taken, the server informed me that she remembered me. That I had not eaten my rice, that I only ate my chicken from my dish and that I did not sign the bill or fill out the boxes I was supposed to on my last visit. The then promptly ignored me for the rest of my meal and refused to even give me a refill on my water.

While the food is amazing, the service is beyond poor. I can say that after today there will be no more chances given to this place of dining from me. I will not be returning. I feel that 24 Coins right across the street provides many magnitudes greater of customer service, and to me that's just worth the few...
