The Spa at Hotel 1000 — Local services in Seattle

Had a wonderul experience with the Seattle Signature Body Treatment - massage, body scrub and body wrap and then a facial. I was treating myself for my birthday and a staycation and the staff at The Spa at Hotel 1000 also treated me! First, Amanda, the spa manager, was exceptional. I had called a week or so prior asking questions about the products used during facials and she was so knowledgable and answered all my questions. She was also the person who greeted me when I came in for the day of my services. You are welcomed with a refreshing towellete with essential oils to start the experience. I was then escorted into a private dressing room that had a welcoming "Happy Birthday" message - its the small details that matter! The dressing room has all the amenities and was comfortable and spacious. I spent time in there between services too and the team had snacks available for me - some dried fruits, nuts and chocolate.

The services start with a calming foot soak which was a nice touch as well as some tea to continue the relaxing vibe. My massage was with Carmella - who is a delight! She was so attentive and really focused on some problem areas for me. The massage was effective and relaxing, sometimes hard to do with deep tissue work. I would recommend Carmella to everyone, and I will also be seeing her again. My body scrub and wrap as well as the facial were done by Sophie - also a star! The scrub was so refreshing along with the body mask and wrap after. My facial was also calming and soothed some of my skin concerns. Sophie was incredibly attentive when I had some discomfort from the body mask (not bad, just unexpected tingling from camphor!) and she helped me to find a good body position with bolsters as I did spend over 2 hour laying down on my back for the combination of services.

Only "negative" would be considering having clients take a break between body wrap and facial - its alot of laying down without movement for a longer period of time.

The spa experience with our service providers Carmela and Falline for my partner and I, was divine and so so so relaxing. We splurged on the Seattle Signature Body Treatment, which included a private locker room for before/between/after services which included as shower and private sauna. Amanda took great care of us, we had snacks and tea. My massage with Carmela was just what my sore spots needed, the facial with Falline had me refreshed, and then we shared the couples treatment room for our scrubs and mind-numbing (in a good way) scalp massages. The space was clean, the robes were comfy (though I did need to ask for a larger one as a plus sized person, they were able to provide on a bit bigger, and used a cozy blanket to help me stay modest in our feet soak at the start of our spa day.

As a local, pro-tip that the valet service is free if you're receiving a spa treatment (not applicable to staying at the hotel, it is normally $70/day) so I'm hoping to come...
