A little disappointed with my first visit on a friend's recommendation.
I love a good torpedo roll, thought theirs looked good in pics and decided to try an 8" tuna with lettuce, tomato, onion and banana peppers.
First bite I was disappointed as the bread was not fresh, noticeable on the inside especially, and not much of tuna in first bite.
I tried a second bite, no memorable taste of tuna and the taste of day old roll overpowered the grinder.
Had the roll been fresh, I'm sure that would have made it much better tasting.
I am patient waiting my for my order but noticed as I was waiting the 6 workers produced 3 sandwiches in 20 min then my two were completed.
Apparently they received a number of catering orders for lunch which effected their time to service their waiting customers.
Overall I think i may have caught a bad day for them as my friend loved his panni, as he was the one who suggested it.
So, if you are in a hurry during lunch time rush, just inquire if they are backed up with catering offers so you will be aware of...

So I watched people come in after us get their order before us. I also understand maybe people were getting salads and other things. After watching 4 out more people come in and order sandwiches and get them then leave, I started to get upset.i went to counter asked what was taking my order so long and why were people getting their order before us who were after us. He was quite apologetic and said he would check. Came back apologized again and said their was an ingredient that they ran out of...???? Ok, so they put a rush on our order. We left and went home. I get home the sandwich I ordered (panini) was BURNT!! I will say my husbands sandwich he loved. I took a couple of bites and I threw mine away. Will I try it again???...
Read moreI discovered the nearby D'Angelos is permanently closed. Their loss is my gain. Wow! A search for nearby sandwiches brought me to Lemon & Oil Deli with the double joy of great food and friendly service. Robin was all smiles with the customer ahead of me as she patiently took the custom order of plain pasta and butter for his two little girls with extra discussion of what temperature they wanted it served at. I had checked out their website ahead of time and was all in for their Sweet Potato Turkey Melt sandwich. Robin owned up that it was her creation and I'm so grateful she came up with the layers of flavor. Super family friendly with table seating and they take the time to check in. My request for a little more BBQ sauce was no problem at all. I'll be sharing this hidden gem, just a block off the main Seekonk drag, with everyone who loves great food and supporting...
