If you enjoy being lied to by a mediocre GM of the hotel, you'll love this place! We stayed there back in July for a wedding, on 9th and 10th, checking out on the 11th. The morning of checkout at approx. 7-730am we were woken by loud banging noises above us. Thought it was the people above us, but apparently there was construction being done on the roof. After about 2 hours of unbearable noise I finally went down to the front desk to find out what was going on. I asked about the construction and was met with mostly an impudent and apathetic attitude from the manager who insisted construction didn't begin until 830. Well, they were on the roof making noise way before that. When formal work began is really irrelevant. What irked me is the insistence by this manager that there was signage up in the lobby the night before (there wasn't) AND that there was an alert on their website about the construction (there wasn't). I went back up to my room to look at my laptop for the alert and the first time I went down to the lobby, there was no signage. I took my laptop back down to the lobby to have the manager show me what he was talking about and where the alert was. I he was looking at my laptop, not finding the alert he was certain was there, I looked over to see another front desk employee in the process of hanging up the signs about construction he insisted were there before. He then said he was going to go check something and went into the back office to hide, leaving me standing out at the front. Finally I left and started the process of formally complaining. That also was useless because Hilton doesn't seem to care much and I got some half-hearted email from the GM insisting the on the lies that I was previously told. Here's the rub, if the manager had simply apologized for the disturbance the first time I came down, I would've just left it alone. But instead he acted incredulous that a guest in his hotel was complaining about being woken up at 7am, then proceeded to just make up stuff that was demonstrably untrue. I realize Hilton's probably not putting top talent to run their location in Seekonk, but...
Read moreWe had the worst Hilton experience at the Seekonk Hampton Inn. The level of disrespect and rudeness we experienced is astonishing from a Hilton. We have had better experiences at Hampton inns in the middle of nowhere Alaska where we were treated like family. This location has no customer service. They offered to clean everyday at check in and we told them we would love it and we do tip well. When it came time for housekeeping, they refused to clean our room even for a fee. We even preclean and were not asking for anymore than what they offered and set expectations for. We were told they would come multiple days in a row and they never did. Our final day we asked again and reminded them we do tip in case this would help give us the service they promised but by the end of our stay they still never delivered. On the final day they removed trash bags and nothing more. We saw the cleaning crew in the hallway, 4 women all standing and laughing at the end of the hall and not cleaning rooms. Excuses were made and nothing was done to resolve it. We asked the front desk for trash bags and clean towels via phone and they laughed at us. Someone from the front desk staff brought one and said it was too much and to come get the rest ourselves. The lack of professionalism is astounding. If you don’t like your job find a new one, don’t make guests suffer because you are unhappy. When we asked to speak with a manager they refused to give us contact information or even a name, I’m sure it’s so that they do not get in trouble. The first time they hung up on me. We were then transferred to a no name voicemail. The main areas are dirty, the hallways smell like mold, and finding hair in the bathroom upon check in?! It’s time to “clean house” get a manager to have onsite, replace your front desk staff with people that have customer service training, and find housekeepers that work on hourly and performance. Never again. Hilton Honors...
Read moreClean polite helpful staff convenient location many things close by breakfast is to die for selection changes daily is a hot breakfast with lots of food choices I later found charges to my credit card which were unauthorized the manager who approved a late check out as I am a diamond Hilton honors member decided he was going to bill me for this approved late check out which I feel is dishonest since this was not disclosed and I was not given the option to accept or reject the fee associated with a late check out most hiltons have no problem giving me at 3 PM check out for free as I am a diamond honors member and this is a perk I addressed the unanticipated charge & Received A less than satisfactory and unprofessional response one of the guests in the room used their card at the store this card is the last card used on the account So the manager took it upon himself to bill this $65 late check out fee to the guests card I asked him if he could please reverse the charges given that the room was not in this guests name nor were they responsible for any fees associated with the room I explained that I was willing to give an alternate card with my name The one which I had used to Check in. To make matters worse the attendee at the counter Disappeared into that back for A few minutes Apparently found it necessary to notify the police that he had “disgruntled customers visibly upset” lol unnecessary as he was not physically or verbally assaulted in any manner Even the police were confused as to why they were called but nonetheless I was asked not to return to the property and my friend Never received credit for the unauthorized charges I have filed a dispute with the credit card company the resolution is unresolved.Be ware As a rule Hilton Hampton inns are great hotels everything about this property is wonderful with the exception of the management and one person working eves at check in counter.
