I recently got a new phone. Come to find out my bluetooth headset didn't work with my new phone. I was hesitant to go to a Verizon store because the last time I went to one with a question in regards to my bluetooth headset I was told "its a little dingy maybe you should just get a new one" it served me perfectly for over a year after I was told that. I went to the Seekonk store and was greeted by the manager who signed me in on his Ipad and told me to look around and an associate would be there to help me in 5 or so minutes. I wish I remembered the lady's name but she never said a word about buying a new headset. But spent 5 or 10 minutes testing things out trying to find out what the issue was. She finally determined that nothing was wrong with the phone. So I was the one who had to ask her if I should get a new headset. She said I could try one and could return it didn't work. I asked for her opinion on what was the best one. Instead of pointing me to the most expensive one, she tried looking for one that was the same make of the one I had, because I told her how happy I had been with it. She spent another 5 or 10 minutes looking for the one her computer told her they had and the manager finally found it in the storage room. She then proceeded to remove it from the awful packaging, turned it on, followed the steps to pair it with my phone, and made sure it worked with my phone before I left the store. She was VERY helpful, not pushy, and went above and beyond to make sure...
Read moreI've been a Verizon customer for over 20 years. I have 10 phones on my account. In March Verizon gave me $1,000 towards my old phone and I got a new s25 with the deal that it included a free tablet and free watch. The account is on my wife's name and there wasn't enough money on the account to have the free tablet or watch. The salesman sold me the phone first then told me this. He said that it was no big deal just to come back in a couple months and when the account had more money showing I could get the tablet. A couple months later I came back and he said there wasn't enough space to hold the tablet on the account. Then a few months ago I checked back and they said there was only $92 room on the account. My stepdaughter recently paid off her phone and paid over $500 on her phone and there was room on the account. Today they told me that that deal only was good for 30 days. I have never had any other trouble except for this with Verizon. The outright lied to me for months. There is no value in having an account a long time or no matter how big the account is. To Verizon you're still a number. I thought Verizon was a great company before and now I'm doubting. It's kind of a sad day it's not about the money it's about the dishonesty. I probably would think twice about being a Verizon...
Read moreThis place is useless now (a decade ago it was the place to go). Now TO BE CLEAR I THINK THE SALEMEN ARE OKAY. But despite their good attitude, and despite this being a corporate owned store, the authorized Verizon retailer 10 minutes away in Swansea knows more about the phones and the Verizon service than this store!
HONESTLY THOUGH? It's because SONE authorized retailers will ACTUALLY FIRE salemen and women who DON'T have knowledge. Some of the people at the authorized retailer I go to (Verizon Cellular Sales) actually left a corporate store to get ACTUAL TRAINING so they could be helpful.
I will admit authorized retailer ARE HIT OR MISS (I hit a MASSIVE miss FAR WORSE than ANY corporate store, but thankfully "Grand Wireless is DEAD now)
I WILL ADMIT though they don't know much, the people in this store ARE AT LEAST TRYING. Years they had a 4. Why? BECAUSE CORPORATE WASN'T MESSING THEIR STORE UP!
Some people are fine in this store. Heck sometimes you HAVE to go to a corporate store (ie to pay a bill). But while I understand older people that just want in and out are fine, if your a techie like me with A LOT OF QUESTIONS...Go to an Authorized retailer (Though credit where it's do this store is still better than the 1-star TOTALLY USELESS corporate store...
