Michaels — Local services in Seekonk

Tonight I drove in over 20 miles to pickup 6 jewelry trays after spotting them on Michael's website and the site said "in-stock." When I walked in, I looked for the trays, I only found one (1). One of the employees, her name was Bree, spotted me looking around and asked if she could help me find something. I told her what I was looking for and explained the trays were not in the area where they were supposed to be. I asked if the store had any in-stock after I drove over 20 miles to pickup some because the website said the store in Seekonk, MA had them. Bree went out of her way to help me and apologized. She scanned the code, the store showed 11 were in-stock. After we walked around several isles looking for the trays, we were both confused as to where they were. Bree would not give up looking. She continued to look up and down several isles and continued to track sku number after sku number on the bottom tubs / plastic draws. After almost 15 minutes looking, I could not believe she found the 11 trays down one of the isles not even close to where they were supposed to be and they were hidden inside one of the black tubs / draws under the shelving. The trays were not even out for sale. I am so thankful Michael's had Bree as an employee. Bree not only went of of her way to help me, she was pleasant, professional, diligent and sympathetic. It is employees like Bree who make shopping at Michael's in Seekonk, MA a pleasure. I must admit, the Seekonk, MA store employees are much nicer than the Warwick, RI store employees. I will not visit the Warwick, RI Michael's again after a bad shopping / customer service experience. This afternoon I went to the Michael's in Seekonk, MA looking for a few items to finish up my wedding decor. When I entered the floral section, it looked as though corporate was visiting, as a large group of employees were gathered around a fixture talking to one another. When I walked by, not one but TWO of them asked if I needed assistance (I appreciate this! I used to work in retail & nothing is worse than being ignored). I asked these associates if they had a large wooden Welcome sign. Unfortunately, they didn't have exactly what I was looking for in the store - But they all chimed in to help & told me they could check online or I could look in the wood aisle for other similar options. They even went as far as to search the website themselves & come find me on the other side of the store to show me a picture of what they had available online. I told the man who approached me that the sign online looked too small, but thank you anyway & we went our separate ways. Just as I was getting ready to checkout, the same man, who introduced himself as the district manager, came up to me again and said: "We are out of free shipping coupons, but I'll do you one better. I love this store and the employees are always pleasant and helpful, but it does leave me wanting as a crafter. I would love to see a bigger selection of knitting, crochet, and sewing items at this store. I have seen the yarn section get smaller and smaller over the years, which is disappointing as a prolific knitter and crocheter, but I was able to supplement in tandem with Joann's, which not only had a large selection of yarn but also carried the hooks and needles that I use. I would love to see a wider variety of the Crochet Amour hooks, especially in smaller sizes, and for them to carry Clover's bamboo double pointed knitting needles. They're the only DPNs I use, but this store (and North Attleboro) only carries metal DPNs, which I hate to work with. I constantly lose my DPNs, so I would love to have a local store that I can buy them at as needed instead of waiting for an online purchase to come in. As for sewing items, I would LOVE to see a much larger selection of lace! This store mostly only has white or black colors in a few options, which doesn't...
