BEWARE, POOR SERVICE, SLOW AND BAD QUALITY FOR WHAT YOU PAY! Went here for the first time and arrived around 8:45am. There were 5 people waiting in front of me at the order pickup window. Two people who had just walked up, found a loop hole... walk into the restaurant, stood at the bar, gave their to go order and were out in 5 min with 2 orders of fresh coffee and pastries warmed up. When I finally get to order, I order 1 cappuccino to go and that's it. Well, they forgot my order, and when I told the lady I still didn't get my coffee after 3 orders after mine were given, she gave me an attitude and said "what do you want me to do?". I finally got my coffee, but when I finally could enjoy it, I tasted coffee grounds. It was $7 and definitely not worth it after the service and quality of the end result. Don't waste your time here... I poured the coffee out and still had grounds left over.

Hands down some of the best food on our Miami trip, not to mention service! We were here February 26th. Forgive me for forgetting his name but the man on the right in dark blue was our server. He was so knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and funny! My husband doesn't ask to get a picture with just any of our waiters, lol. He made our experience what it was, nothing short of brilliant. We had never eaten Cuban food until now, definitely going to eat more! I hope maybe the owners can shed some light on what the food and drink pictured are, I can't recall specific dish names. The drink in the glass mug was amazing and I recommend everyone to try it! It's a type of Cuban fruit drink mixed to make it like a cinnamon latte type of taste that is truly unique. My favorite thing about the food was the sauce! All the different kinds fit the dish perfectly. A+++++!!! Especially to our server!!!

What a find! This is the best Cuban restaurant I’ve been to in South Florida. While the location is a little unassuming, located in a strip mall, the food and service are top notch. The chicken empanada was fresh and oh so delicious. For my main course I had the churasco ribeye which was both cooked perfectly and also extremely well flavored. I paired the steak with the yellow rice and the cassava in garlic sauce. The sides almost took the spot light from the main. The cassava while very garlicky was not overpowering and the rice was seasoned well. To compliment the excellent food, the service was superb. All members of the waitstaff checked in to make sure everything was to my satisfaction and made spot on menu recommendations. I will be back.

Fast service, very crowded even on Christmas Eve; because the food is really good. Ample parking outside in RK Center. Quiet Cuban Mambo and Latin favorites play in the background with hushed Russian, Spanish and Chinese conversations all around. We started our meal by tasting the Cappuccino 'Tropical', an outstanding warm coffee beverage to whet the appetite. Excellent deep fried chicken with Moro and shrimp with plantains in a white sauce. The caramel custard was also quite good. The food came out quickly and was quite savory. The cilantro green sauce was not spicy (the way I am accustom to). All the wait staff speak Spanish and English. Handicap accessible and handicap parking available. It is across the street from the beach towers.

A place with tasty food, tried several dishes, the churrasco was so good, fresh and soft, the sides also very tasty, and home-made flan too. Only the half chicken was a bit dry, the rest of the meats were very good and juicy. Drinks were very good too, I liked the cafe con leche and lemonade, all with great taste, feels like all made with love and care. The waiters are friendly and very hospitable, with good attitudes, smiling. The lady with a white ribbon in her hair who serves drinks makes me feel a welcome guest every time I’m there. Only one waiter seemed too pushy with tips, underlining in the check the tips amount, although I left it anyways, but it felt pushy. The rest is good, the atmosphere, music, staff and food, loved it.

If you’re looking for traditional Cuban cuisine, El Tropical is your one-stop-shop. I arrived with a group around 9am and was able to get seated right away. Was served some Cuban cafe con leche and started browsing food options. Pictured are the pastelito with guava and cheese, huevos ranchero and the egg white omelette with a pineapple juice in water. Service is really fast and the food is super filling. All entrees come with the Cuban bread pressed with butter which paired great with the egg dishes. The juice was super fresh and didn’t taste store bought. Atmosphere was traditional with salsa music playing in the background as you ate. Can’t wait to try their lunch options for my next visit
