I sampled the stracciatella, bacio, hazelnut, tiramisu, nougat, and blackberry. I ultimately decided on the bacio which is chocolate and hazelnut with bursts of dark chocolate chunks and caramelized nuts. It was very tasty and flavorful. The guy running the place was very friendly and helpful in helping me decide on what ice cream to get. There was not a long line to order. There was only 1 person in front of me and i only waited 2 or 3 minutes to place my order. There is 2 hour free parking in the Kennedy grand central condominiums parking garage. I look forward to coming back to try more flavors of tasty quality gelato in the coming...
Read moreI'm absolutely disappointed with my visit to this gelato place today. I specifically came on Wednesday because your website and posters clearly state that there's a free cone upgrade on Wednesdays. However, when I ordered and asked for the upgrade, the staff member insisted it was a paid extra. I tried to point out the promotion, but he was dismissive and charged me for it anyway. False advertising is one thing, but arguing with a customer about your own promotion is just unacceptable.
To make matters worse, after charging me, she applied an automatic 15% service fee to the bill. Service for what?! Right after taking my payment, she disappeared into the back kitchen, put on her headphones, and started making a personal phone call, completely ignoring the shop and the customers. If that's the "service" you're providing, you have absolutely no right to charge a service fee. It's insulting.
The gelato was okay, but it's not worth dealing with this level of unprofessionalism. I won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you seriously train your staff on basic customer service...
Read moreIf you’re downtown Tampa, Gelato-go is an absolute must-visit! This delightful gelato shop is run by a charming husband-and-wife duo. Every flavor is crafted in-house by the owner (Leo), a true artisan whose passion and creativity are reflected in every scoop. There are rotational flavors that are both inventive and season inspired. Be sure to indulge while they last! For coffee fans, the cappuccino, is masterfully prepared by Leo's wife. It’s perfectly balanced, with a velvety froth and smooth, rich flavors that linger without any after taste - pure coffee delight. And for those with a sweet tooth, my family can’t get enough of their cannoli and red velvet cookies, which are just as delightful as the gelato. Their hospitality and kindness adds another layer to the experience. Our boys often chat with them and share lighthearted jokes making every visit special. Thank you, Leo and family, for creating not just incredible desserts but also memorable moments.
We can’t wait to return! John, Tia, John Alex, and...
