We had high expectations at $477/night (inc taxes and fees) for two nights. We tried to cancel more than 30 days prior due to other priorities, but we were reminded of the Nonrefundable deposit even if canceled 30 days prior. So we decided at this price it must be really nice, let's not cancel. The website leads you to believe this is an authentic historical location, but at this nonrefundable price it should of been much better.
For our room, our door to the back porch on 1st floor didn't lock and after 2 days notice alerting front desk staff they still hadn't fixed it. We had to Prop a chair under the handle to have a some security while sleeping or away from the room
We had a moldy shower curtain. Really? I've had cleaner bathrooms in Hamtopn Inns.
Or view was of a lacrosse field and the mountain view was looking through backstopping netting. I read a review that claimed every room has a mountain view but at this price the mountainview from our room was a joke and misrepresented.
Checkin staff on Friday didn't know what time breakfast was served or coffee put out the next day. She guessed 730 am and was wrong.
We also didn't find out they had jacuzzis on property until the last day, or didnt hear anything regarding how to uncover them and use them during our stay.
Hotel owned vehicle blocked the circle drive often making it difficult for guests to unload and load.
Coffee was lavazza brand in lobby and Tullys in rooms. Not great at this price. Even Marriott has Starbucks these days for half this price.
From restaurant, Lobster, bacon tomato sandwich we tried for dinner had pieces of shell in it. Creme bruelle was not baked properly and was runny like syrup. Worst we ever had.
Morning omelet was good but at telluride pricing even for a guest of the hotel. $28 inc tip for coffee and the omelet meal.
AC didn't cool the room enough even on low setting at 68.
Daily Maid service was nice to have.
Beds comfortable and clean
Close to the historic district which was nice.
Bartender Nora was outstanding with tons of local knowledge and food recommendations. She was our highlight.
I emailed the hotel's email address from their website with all of this information and they never responded. There are much better options to stay in Telluride. I'd look close at...
Read moreOur room was fine - it was clean, the bed was comfortable and all appliances worked. Where my boyfriend and my frustration came in was booking. We received a confirmation from visittelluride.com (the site I booked through). A few days later I received a call from The Hotel Telluride stating our reservation was cancelled b/c of COVID but in order for me to get a refund I must contact Visit Telluride. The lady giving me all this info I believe was a front desk employee from the hotel and her tone was very matter of fact and she really didn't offer any explanation or help. Anyway, I know these times are weird so I told her I understood and got off the phone with her. A couple of days later my boyfriend decided to just call the hotel directly and try to rebook. We checked online and saw nothing about hotels cancelling reservations b/c of COVID. He called the hotel and was able to rebook, no issues. The hotel never called to let us know they had space again. We spoke to the front desk during our visit and they explained there was a decrease in occupancy that was state mandated so that's when they cancelled our reservation and then a large party cancelled their reservation so they ended up having room. I just wish they would've provided a better explanation when they cancelled and would've called back once they had room in order to rebook us. The girl at the front desk had nothing to offer us to make up for the poor customer service. I don't think the employees are trained to handle any customer service issue. Anything out of the ordinary and the service you receive at this hotel is going to suffer. Hopefully management will take it upon themselves to train their staff better moving forward. The front desk girl's hands were tied. She told us she was unable to offer anything expect the GM's email address which we had already emailed twice with...
Read moreToday is Friday, July 10th. My wife & kids are visiting from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. As we arrived here couple of days ago, & entered our room, the microwave was dirty, & coffee cups were not clean. I did go the front desk, and young lady was nice who switched us into a different room. However, as soon as I used a Microwave in a new room to make a cup of tea, it started to spark, & I could smell this burning wire, so I disconnected it; I informed front desk, but at this time it was a different person who said we don’t have a repair person, but they can assist with hot water for tea, & I should come to the lobby since they have no room service available. I also noticed that due to covid-19 the hotel restaurant is also closed. When I went to take a shower the liquid shower soap was also empty, but the conditioner bottle was full, & shampoo bottle was about half filled. As far as beds are concerned they were ok, I would rate the comfort below average for bed. The pull out sofa bed was very uncomfortable for kids. As far as parking: I rented a Dodge Ram 2500, & it barely made it into the parking garage, a top of the truck did touch by a hair, however the parking is very tight, and after parking the truck I couldn’t use my driver door to exit so I had to crawl out of the passenger side, which I had to be extremely careful still to not touch the car next door. I would try not to stay here again. I really don’t like exaggerating reviews at all, I am a business man, & reviews can help a business, I hope this review will help the management fix these issues, & people making reservation know exactly what they are getting into at least as of the time being. Thank you. City of Telluride is a fun place, we had a lot of fun doing the activities, and...
