I came here for a night of drinks after a concert. The overall vibe and staff seemed fine. I ordered two drinks and waited for my card to be ran. The bartender disappeared, so I just assumed she forgot I wanted the check closed and returned to my group with the drinks. I come back ten minutes later when the bar is less busy. I order another drink from a new bartender and tell him my name on the tab. He says he doesn't have a tab with that name and I let him know what happened. He checks again and comes back with a card and a closed tab. While I appreciated the discounted drinks, the card wasn't mine. I ask for the original bartender and he asks me to come back. Ten minutes later, I return and the other bartender looks for the card. At this point my party is ready to leave and I say goodbye to my friends who I barely had a chance to talk to. The bartender says that she remembers setting the card down on the bar. I've been in the hospitality industry for ten years (bartender) and I've never just set some ones card down on the bar without them visibly seeing me do it. So at this point, I'm afraid that my card might be stolen and not just lost behind the bar. The bartender takes my information down and asks me to come back tomorrow. I ask her name and she mentions that she is part owner. I am a little relieved, but the following day when we are leaving town, I return to the bar. Its closed until 2pm and we have to leave by 11am. I see someone in the bar cleaning for the opening shift. The guy ignores my knocks and obvious waves and disappears to the back. I try calling a few times, go run some errands and come back. The employee sees me walking up and hides in the back. I come to find that my credit card has been charged for a random amount of $20. I ordered two beers. Where did this number come from? I still haven't received as much as...
Read moreI apologize in advance, I wish my review were positive... My wife and I were in Telluride for the first time a few weeks ago to consider a home purchase. Wow what a great place to reside. That said, I could not agree more with the negative aforementioned reviews relating to the Last Dollar Saloon. This appears to be a business that someone else has built and handed over to the current owner. If he were halfway in tune with his customer service, I can't imagine the the momentum this establishment would have. We were greeted with a smile from the female server behind the bar and when Mike the owner (supposedly, most owners aren't this stupid) handed us our tab, he literally shoved it across the bar to my wife with absolutely zero smile, eye contact and/or thank you. I mentioned this to him in a courteous and professional manner and his response was unbelievable... "I was talking to someone" he said, which was his team member I might add and we are the customer!? WOW! Apparently, this insecure, low business acumen owner doesn't know or understand who pays his paycheck - THE CUSTOMER! Go elsewhere, go to a place that genuinely appreciates your hard earned dollar. If I diverted one customer, and moved $1.00 to another establishment, I've taken the appropriate action....

Unfortunately, my friends and I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this bar. We were enjoying the rooftop with drinks in hand, waiting for two more friends to join us, when a man—either the bartender or owner—approached us in an extremely rude and aggressive manner. He demanded that we either buy more drinks or leave, claiming others were waiting for rooftop seating. In reality, every one of us had already purchased drinks, and there was no line or visible group waiting for seats upstairs.
The behavior was shocking, especially in a town like Telluride, which is usually known for its laid-back, friendly vibe—typical of most ski towns. Even nearby customers expressed their disbelief at how we were treated. I’m not sure if this was a situation of racism or a man who has serious anger issues.
I truly hope the ownership reevaluates how they treat their patrons, or that new management steps in to create a more welcoming environment. As it stands, I would not recommend this...
